Standing up there is one thing.
Maintenance is another thing.

A whole different thing is the dude(s) that had to go up there BEFORE the ladder existed, and install it. Build that shell, build the platform, wire the lights, mount the lights, all of the weird heavy liftin', usin' tools, buildin' stuff part of it. Don't drop the screwdriver, and don't forget to pack the socket you need (or lunch, or a way to pee) since it's at least an hour climb each way to the job site...

When we lived in our apt near downtown, there were times when I look look out our windows and count 10-20 tower cranes in the distance. WHen I worked downtown, I watch them build several (that was crazy, watching the guys crawl around on it while it was still being assembled) and then use those to build a building in the middle of downtown which was pretty cool.

How the Fuchs do they build something like the Burj K? that things over 1/2 mile up. That'd be a hell of a tower crane.
