Pissin' Ketchup

Apropos of the threads about getting older and downsizing, I've reached another turn of the downward spiral. As of this morning I'm peeing blood.

Oh no! Could be many causes...get it checked out pronto. Any pain? Might be a kidney stone...

Also might mean you ate too many beets. Like I said, could be many things. Hope your cause is not a serious one. One bit of advice..stay away from web MD and similar sites. They are only good for creating anxiety. Go to a health pro instead...

Did you recently bump into anything, or get hit in the kidneys? Do you have high blood pressure?

I got hit playing hockey maybe 10 years ago and peed blood and that was I learned about a kidney issue I hat.

No kidding! I avoid the doctor like the plague but I’d probably be ER bound in that situation. Go!

I had the same problem about 25 or 30 years ago. It was usually right at the end of the stream. Scared the heck out of me. They did a whole slew of tests including a scope up my penis (I dreaded that but it didn’t hurt) to look in my bladder. Can’t remember if I was prescribed anything but they never found a reason for it and it went away in short order. Like everyone says…get it checked out and I hope it goes well for you!

If it’s like many things as we get older...hopefully you’ll be back to just pissing vinegar in a few hours.

This.

Of course you'll want your doctor to advise you (as opposed to any of us!) but when my dog had this I gave her an antibiotic and it cleared it up in about a week.

Good luck Patrick, and please keep us posted as appropriate.

Only time I ever did that was when I had kidney stone issues. Had to have a stint from the kidney to the bladder and, oh boy, when the Doc removed the stint, uh, of course this contraption had to go up my penis and into my bladder to grab the stint and pull it out. It didn't hurt but it was uncomfortable to say the least. I peed a little blood after that.
Dang, hope ya feel better soon.
