I am still not completely discounting the possibility that Webby is pulling our legs and may even lurking and/or posting incognerito-y.

I was recently looking to contact one of real experts (well known here for expertise) that helped me with my car once and noticed he had not posted for a while, like with Webb, all I found was an obit.
I was just days after I had last contacted him...almost a decade ago (sure didn't seem that long). No one seemed to note his passing here...but he was pretty much a tech guy and didn't do a lot of personality clashes. Would have liked to send flowers or see if his wife needed anything. He was pretty young.

Just sayin' if a pal falls silent, dig in and find out. We are not all Grady Clay.
Whenever my wife and I are debating something we are considering doing around the house or other she will say "ask the Pelican guys what they think"

Rest assured, for those who may care, were something to happen to me she would be letting you guys know within 48 hours.

I've wondered why there haven't been any posts by Wdfifteen.
He always was interesting...maybe on vacation?

Back when you were allowed to search for members randomly, alphabetically or whatever, there were multiple entries that more or less said 'rwebb'. Then it got cleaned up somehow. That's what I remember. Anyway, RandyWebb and Rwebb have the same signature info.

One person, IMO.

This place has gotten too mean-spirited for him. He's in good health and I hope to be seeing him in a few weeks.

Same guy it's not two different Randy Webb's.
He changed his handle to Rwebb from Randy Webb.
I remember him posting about it at one time. Look at Randy Webb's last visit and Rwebb join date. That overlap about a week. Mike

That's an idea with merit. However, it would be nice if people didn't have to die before kind words are spoken about them.

I'm not talking about 2 different log-ins here. If you read the first page, Randy Webb says that there are two people with his name in his town.

Well, one of them may have passed.

If so, RIP.

That's kind of generally true in life. When my dad got re-elected in 1996, (elected judge), his friends threw a party for him downtown and one of his buddies said, "this is like going to your own funeral," because so many people made nice toasts to him.

His real funeral/memorial has happened in the meantime and it was a blast, last week I attended the memorial for the guy who made the remark. It was also fun.

So the reports of their demise are greatly exaggerated.

Well, Rest assured, for those who may care, were something to happen to me, MY WIFE DID IT.

Personally, I figured Randy just had enough and blew this popsicle stand. Unless confirmed, I'm guessing, he quit cold turkey, and has no idea this thread is even happening. If he did go- RIP.

I have nothing to say about RWebb or Thor66 but I find it an interesting thought that a person so widely known for "stirring it up" and "seemed to delight in antagonizing others" found the forum to be too mean spirited.
