Tried Rebel Moon on Netflix.... Big budget and all...
Wow the suck factor was high. Very derivative, zero scenario, one kid quit after 20 min, the other toughed it out till the end and also thought it was bad... Quick synopsis" Evil empire wants to take over little farmer village, like it matters. Hero (ex soldier form evil empire) leaves to get help. "Will you help me? "OK" now they are 3. Flies to other planet.. Will you help me? "sure I got nothign else to do" -> repeat on other planet" Will you help me?" " Oh why not"
Who signs off on crap like that ? There's decent actors, nice CGI, write a minimum of a story please !!!

Slow horses is good, as ever...
I'm not hating the 4th season of For all mankind, unions and all...
Invasion on apple TV is slow but relatively clever and different...

Because I've been waiting for the new Reacher episode to drop, I tried The Old Man on Hulu (originally on FX).

It's good, but I it's a bit slow for me. There are a lot of artistic establishing shots that could be watched in 2x speed. I did finish the whole season and was satisfied.

Started White Collar on Freevee. Ep.1 got me hooked. Let's see how long it keeps me...

I liked White Collar. What shows are similar. I watch those and some action movies. Most aren't that good but I can skip the usual fight and chase scenes and concentrate on the detective part. I watched a James Bond movie last night and I'm over that.

Longmire was good but that was ages ago. Things like Death in Paradise are just too trite.

Try Mr Inbetween on hulu (maybe it's on FX, too). I think it punches way above its weight.

I'm watching Love American Style, cool seeing all the different actors, lacking of technology and the fashion.

+1
Just finished episode 1, and it was great fun...loved the pokes at the show biz side of the story. Who knew HUCK would be an action-packed retelling of the Mark Twain classic? Love the director's line as he introduces Victor, "He's playing N-word Jim." And when the dozen or so bad guys start to take on our hero, the leader tells them to attack one-at-a-time ("it's less confusing.")

Hilarious.

Kiefer Sutherland mini series. I am not a big K.S. fan but episode 1 is pretty good.

^ Couldn't agree more for the first 3 seasons. Each killing takes an entire season as I recall. It moves slowly, but it's excellent. I bailed after watching a little of the 4th season.

^All shot with all-blue lens filter IIRC.
Depressing but not a good look for such a beautiful green place just outside the city a half mile. So enclosed.
Long scenes to complete the viewer plot-question as to what happens next.
Who are these people. Junky and true believer adjoined towards a same goal but not the same.

Worth watching again.

^ Fully agree. No way it rains as much in Seattle as depicted in the series - torrential downpours all the time. Seattle actually has less annual rainfall than ATL where I live.
