Getting a little dusty in here. I am glad things are improving for your family Fred.

My wife is doing pretty good. Once they cut her bp meds she started to return to somewhat normal. First few days home were scary . She was unable to walk , and really confused . She would just sit around with stroke face , looking lost . She still has a long way to go , but things are looking up .
She is kind of loopy still, but honestly , if she never gets any better than she is right now, I can live with it . I am sure there is a lot more improvement to come
I got the dates mixed up on one of her Dr appointments yesterday , so we had the afternoon to kill . We drove up to the reservoir , found a nice quiet place to park, and just took a few hours off of life to breathe in a beautiful fall day here in Pa . We sat and talked about old times, and times to come . It was the first time she was out of the house other than for doctors appointments . I think she enjoyed it
Its amazing the regular every day things that she forgets, but has perfect memories of the most random stuff . DLRs' Yankee Rose came on the radio on the way home, and she sang it word for word. I bet she has not heard that song since 1988.
I want to , and need to pay your kindness forward somehow, so when the next time comes around that we have someone in need here Ill be itching to step up .
Thank you again guys, the best
Fred
I think you have this backwards. This was paid forward to you.

On a side note, I can help with your XT any time. I have, by necessity, become very familiar with them. If I were closer, I would take it home and get it running for ya.

And press on, good Sir!
Give me a bottle of anything... and a glazed donut... to go!!!!!

Today at work we were listening to '80's Tesla' channel on internet radio. Lots of stryper glam rock type stuff. Now-mind you- I didn't choose the station, but it was kind of fun. *edit- a bunch of fun* Then I catch up on PPOT and this came up. Good to see DLR didn't entirely escape that era, but he darn sure kicked ass in it! Good stuff!

Fred- If she's loving the 80's stuff, pull up some more! It sure is therapeutic as hell for me! Rock on Fred!!!!!

Thinking of you today Fred when I stopped by to see my mechanic, Ivan. Always interesting to see the stuff he and his son are working on. The Indy shops are what made America great!

He was telling me how he hates that car (to his left) - problems with the fuel injection and bunch of other stuff I forgot. He's already done a bunch of work on it and it keeps showing up like a bad penny...lol.

I told him he should just tell the guy not to bring it in anymore. He laughed....

Here's some pics I took of it over a year ago at Ivan's previous shop.......

I met the owner the day the pics were taken in 2020 - he's a motorman (owns a motorcycle repair/restoration business).

Speaking of Volvos.......hey Ron.......look......racing stripes!
