There are certain foods in life that are worth the "too pricey" catagory
Ribeyes
Good coffee beans I grind and brew
Whole fancy cashews
Wallyworld has Cinnamon Almonds which are a nice switch from salted nuts

Like the OP, I like pistachios but don't want to shell them.

Pistachios are a favorite of mine. I can eat them all day. I don't mind shelling them ! Lightly salted Cashews are 2nd on my list. I don't care it they are whole or pieces...taste the same to me.

Ok..I tried vanilla bean yogurt with the bbq shelled pistachios.
They do go good together, but it covered up the bbq taste. I'll try it again with the plain pistachios next time.

Big pistachio fan for my entire life. Sad thing is 'wonderful' pistachios are consistently the worst.

Best i've had since childhood were fresh roasted from a market in Montreal. Almost unrecognizable as pistachios if you only knew the 'wonderful' brand.

If you mix the chili ones with the honey-roasted, you get a wonderful mix of salty-spicy-sweet.

This is crack for me…

Sign me up!

I forgot the name of the dish, but there's a curry I get in Reading UK that's basically black pepper. Gawd I love the stuff, even if it truly is "eat it tonight - taste it tomorrow" territory.

...then there's the story of that same shop's single "four chile" dish that absolutely wrecked me after I might have called their other (3 chile) dishes mild...

The chili roasted are a little too spicy for me.
I picked up a bag each of the bbq and honey roasted today. Might try mixing those.
