I have had 3 vaccine shots in les than a year. The administration is talking about a 4th!! I get all the shots because I’m old but what does this tell the anti vax people? It’s kind of like saying the vaccine does not work. What the heck is going on?

Had my third yesterday, been a pretty lousy day. I don't know either man.

That was the plan all along....Indefinite boosters.

My point is a forth shot on the way tells people they don’t work! Heck, 3 shots tell them it does not work. The administration says everyone needs to be vaccinated then federal judges stop the mandates! Sorry, just frustrating. The media says get vaccinated then the judges say no!

I just recovered from covid.
Got it from somebody who was vaxd.
I had a 99.5 fever for 2 days, muscle aches for 2 days, and no smell/taste for 4 days.
He had 102 fever for a week and overall much worse off than me.
Weird, ehh?

Somewhere Island and Javadog are getting ready to pounce. It won’t be long now.

It means the vaccine only lasts a few months, like most virus vaccines e.g. flu. That's different to bacterial ones like tb that last much longer.

There are a number of vaccines for other diseases that require a sequence of multiple doses.

It may be that these particular vaccines work best with two doses several months apart, instead of two doses 20 days apart. There hasn’t been time to test all the different dosing schedules and figure out what is ideal. It is clear that the two initial doses in quick succession provide very good protection (in most people) for around six months, at which time, for best protection, a third shot (booster) is needed, and that booster raises neutralizing antibody levels by (if memory serves) around 40X.

We don’t yet know if this will end up being an annual shot, or if the three dose regime is all that is needed.

We also don’t know how much the Omicron variant reduces the vaccines’ protection, but it is likely that it does reduce it to some extent, hence all the more reason to get boosters.

It would be nice if we knew all this stuff, but we don’t yet. If you want to wait until everything is fully known, then you’ll have to wait for years. Best to take sensible steps in the meantime.

Yes, it's tough to not question the logic of the slippery-slope bait & switch from an unethical multi-billion $ industry that is not liable for death and damages from their "vaccine" product that does not even stop transmission. Does not even stop death.

But at least you can risk death by taking it.

Sugar pills would have been more effective.... and less deadly

This virus has been circulating around for 2 years now. The first year had 37-38% exposure. Many never knew they had it. Year 2 has to put us well over 50% exposure.

It is quite possible that the only thing making the vaccines look even slightly viable is the overlap of natural immunity with vax'd. (at least some vax'd people will have strong immunity from actual contact/infection.)

So yeah, sugar pill may have been better.

When ant-vaxxers say a vaccine "doesn't work", they're saying it doesn't work 100% of the time, for 100% of people, for 100% of their life.

To which medical professionals say "well....., duh".

Because what I hear them say is that there are risks. -well, duh. And yet the POTUS, among other pro-jabbers, have come out to say that these vaccines "are safe! Period!" - oh really. No exceptions?

I also hear the anti-CV -vax'ers, among others, say that the durability is more like a therapeutic than a typical vaccine. (got boosters?)

All in all, they are saying that these vaccines are riskier than any other mainstream vaccine, and that they are less effective than typical vaccines.
