They're yours if you want them.

I could do the whole deal. Chest carpet, gold chain and fuzzy dice.

My boxster is closer to 50k.

I'm a big fan of SBC. Great motor!

I get that you've got a reason for buying that eliminates the possibility of a manual trans. I'm also sure a modern auto trans is much better than an older slushbox (no experience with a modern corvette, but many modern auto trans are).

Makes me wish I had a good reason to own a modern Z06 as well as the boxster.

The automatic in this car has a sport mode. It makes the trans feel pretty good using the paddles. Not used to that yet. One can also get the trans tuned in the computer and make a big difference. My truck has an automatic that I tune with a hand held computer module. It can shift almost any way I choose.

nice cars and a tremendous value, Its certainly easier/cheaper to firm up the ride than it is to give a Cayman another 100hp or so

Congrats on the purchase , I am guilty of looking at C5's . They are relatively affordable and a body style I like . A good balance of HP/torque/reliable/handling and fuel mileage you can live with . Not much not to like . Have fun and update us as you get to know her better .

Thanks guys. I will report back after some miles. Its been about 500 so far and all is good. Still seems too cushy to me but I will adjust. Its just sooo different.
