Can you imagine the mileage they'd get if it was even half way aerodynamic instead of pushing that barn door of grille thru the wind?

They need to look at the Ridgeline for a new direction.

I think I'd love a RL but it still can't match the mileage I can get out of my coupe.

I need to go to the plant in San Antonio and check out the line, that is always fun when a new model rolls off.
One of the reason I bought my '21 Land Cruiser was because it was the end of the 5.7L V8, an engine you can get parts for anywhere. The way the grill is combined with the bumper on this new Tundra is weird. |

Hilux 2.8 for me, don't need a super sized vehicle
Not enjoying 'grill wars' everything has become butt ugly

I think they're all trying to emulate Kenworth's or Freightliner's myself.

The bigger and bigger pickup thing is interesting. Is this caused by car company marketing or by marketing reacting to the buyers?
Another thing... Have you noticed how badges on many cars/trucks have gotten bigger? You are driving around free advertising for the car company. It's not about you, it's about them.

My wife transitioned from a Sedan to a Crossover 6-7 years back. I'd say she was a "follower" in this trend toward SUV/Crossover sales. She was growing increasingly uncomfortable in traffic in her Acura sedan surrounded by taller vehicles. If it wasn't for needing a tow vehicle, my truck would be a Tacoma or similar, which as you've noted, have grown quite a bit bigger over the last several generations.
