I've seen Victor live many times. I've seen Geddy live almost 100x. But my crowning moment was meeting Chris Squire at the Rainbow (after I bought Lemmy a drink). Peter Criss even took the photo of Chris and me and I couldn't have cared less that it was Peter Criss. Saw Yes tons of times too. Honorable mention to Jeff Berlin a few times too.

!They left the rock star world behind them when I was a kid, but seeing Hot Tuna has always been a treat .... acoustic, electric, or a set of each. At ashow in Raleigh some years back, Grace Slick was also in town for something... rumors flew, but THAT was not gonna happen. At one point, Jack, with a big ol' Chesire cat grin stepped to the front of the stage and started dropping his "bass bombs" to the intro to "White Rabbit" ... crowd went freakin' nutz .On a jam band cruise years ago, my girl wasn't up for going down below to the pool deck stage, so we listened to Les (and his Frog Brigade) drop his bass bombs from out on our balcony.... good times! |

Anyway, while I was using the mens room this guy, dressed all in white comes in and it's Bootsy Collins! Turns out that the Parliament was doing a free concert in a nearby plaza. I didn't go back to Jack and Jorma. My date was pissed.

Back in '84-85. Jorma used to play in this small local bar next to my office in Tribeca. Vic's tavern on Thursday nights. Used to stay after work to go see him. .
