I met him once. When we moved to Connecticut, he was the girl's softball coach at my daughter's high school.

I always thought he had a solid and unique voice/style . RIP

I remember he played Eddie in Rocky Horror Picture Show and I remember watching the long video of "Paradise By The Dashboard Lights" on MTV back in the 80s.
Rest In Peace Meatloaf!!! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6daca144d7.jpg Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |
Lots of classic rockers are suspiciously dying lately, odd....

Thanks Steve, that was great. My FIL mentioned years ago that he used to hang with him when he was in NY on Broadway way before he hit it big; I believed him but had not heard from anyone else that he actually did spend time in NY until this video.
Bat out of Hell hit when I was around 12 years old and was the 3rd LP I ever bought. I had a cheap record player with a lift up lid that had two crummy speakers and flat wore out that record. Thanks Meatloaf for playing a part in my life- RIP to one of the greats. Quote:

dang it.
i was just getting reaquainted. my Tesla strangely plays a lot of Meatloaf at me..i'm not even sure what station i am playing. what is the Song (video) MTV played the crap out of? same woman and apparently concert as above. |
His music was of something that I can't categorize, but when I heard it for the first time, I loved it! Also, I wanted to know who the woman was that initially sang the duet part on 'Paradise by the Dash Board Lights'. She had a huge voice man! - turns out she was a hair dresser from Long Island.........

He had a good role in "Fight Club" too. Good actor

I remember when that song came out, it was in heavy rotation on AM radio, spent many a Saturday night in mom’s station wagon with the chick of the week, living the dream.
I always liked Karla Devito too, she could really sing and she had a killer personality. His story about the JFK assassination is well worth listening to. RIP, and thanks for the good times. |

For Meatloaf, the pandemic is over.

You'll never find your gold on a sandy beach
You'll never drill for oil on a city street I know you're looking for a ruby In a mountain of rocks But there ain't no Coupe de Ville hiding At the bottom of a Cracker Jack box RIP Meatloaf! |
