Don't worry! I did enough prep that it shouldn't hit anywhere as hard as they're predicting. I went out to the barn on Saturday. I pulled out my larger snow blower and my generator. I got both of them running after a bit of carb work. I then went and bought 10 gallons of gas and fueled up my Ranger. On Sunday I went to Rural King and bought a new shovel for cleaning areas I have a hard time getting at with my snow blowers and Ranger. I figure I'm so ready there's no way in hell we're gonna get that much snow.

It's the low temps that are getting on my nerves. We're not below zero but close enough to not matter. Brrr.

Look at it this way. We've got maybe 6 weeks of this crap and things turn the other direction. I'm so confident I booked a fishing trip up on Manistee Michigan for mid March.

OK, it is winter, and the area of the country that even has a common nickname for what is just another snow storm to everyone else. What is next, will death valley make up name for another 120+ degree day in the dead of summer? Another hottie?
Yea, snow sucks in the city. Is that a surprise? I bet there is many more to come next winter and after that. We get a snow storm starting tomorrow and may have several inches of that frozen crap that belongs up in the mountains and in Canada. The national news likely will not even mention it. No one ever made up a cute nickname for our winter storms. Snow sucks. It should be made illegal in cities. That would be as useful as the war on drugs.

I spent a few winters in New Hampshire as a younger man and got to know real winter. I haven't been through one of those types in a long, long time.
