Even more amazing is that the producers were able to find so many over weight women willing to be insulted on TV.

I never consider watching old TV shows. The only one I think I'd like rewatching is Maverick from the late '50 to early '60s. It was always good for some laughs.

Two shows that had quotes.
"Have Gun Will Travel" with Richard Boone as Paladin. Fantastic show. And Criminal Minds. You have to thank the creators/writers for these little slices of heaven......

I watch “Northern Exposure” DVDs sometimes. The show holds up very well.
On streaming, I will watch “Mad About You”, “Star Trek” (TOS), and I used to watch “Remington Steele” on Youtube because I have a thing for Stephanie Zimbalist Jr.

I loved Northern Exposure. I saw it described once as a "vegetarian Twin Peaks," which seemed apt.
Flight of the Conchords was great. A couple of the characters from it are in a movie from 2014 I posted in that thread.

I watched an episode of Gunsmoke last night. As a kid, we watched them new, and on a crappy low def OTA broadcast. They have been remastered into Hi Def, obviously new scans from the original film. Really nice B&W with Chester and the crew.
It is funny, like the original Star Trek, it is obvious, the props and sets were really designed for broadcast TV of the era. Sam drew a beer and it was 90% foam and just a bit of beer, and handed it to Matt, and an instant later, it was a perfect draw, mostly beer, and little froth. Magic. In another scene the Foley painted background was moving around just a bit, enough to make the image of a little town jump around in relationship to the foreground. I really am not picking on the production quality, just pointing out the stuff High def shows that the just could keep costs low back in the day. They never dreamed that someday 60 years later people would want to watch the show and get to see it in high def.

I haven't watched 12 O'Clock High (1964-1967) since I was a kid. It doesn't stream, so I bought DVDs of its 3 seasons on eBay, supposedly recorded on 21 discs for better quality. Robert Lansing was in it- I remember him from an episode of Star Trek Assignment: Earth with Teri Garr. I hope it's good like it was 50 years ago for me...

Watched an episode today I had already seen two times before. Saw some stuff I didn't remember. I'll skip some repeats but not today's.
The avid watcher will notice a lot of little innuendos and snarky comments interspersed within' the regular lines. I bet many of those were impromptu. The little looks and facial expressions - priceless. Really makes the show relatable, for me......
