Recently bought a set of Pirelli Scorpion AT+ for the 4Runner and Yokohama Advan Apex for the Cayman GTS. Pirelli's were a better deal installed from a local, family owned shop, the Yoko's a better deal shipped to and installed by the same shop. However, it did seem like Bridgestone and Michelins were all way low on stock. IMHO there are better alternatives to both. Seems like the cost of auto parts in general are rising almost daily due to the expensive car market and people keeping their cars, and actually maintaining them.

Last Spring I paid about $900 mounted/balanced and out the door from local tire shop for Hankook DYNAPRO AT2 20" tires on my Tundra. A quick Google search looks like they are now close to $1200 just for the tires and it said they are on back order.

Yeah, no thank you.

I really needed a pair of R3 tractor turf tires. Normally they'd go for around $450. No one had them, and I mean no one. After searching for nearly 3 weeks, I remembered a guy who sold me some really hard to find trailer tires. I called him and he found a pair of R3 tires. I think they probably had to go through 2 or 3 different vendors before they got to me.

They cost $1,170 each. Plus a mobile truck to come install them add another $500.

Tirerack delivered the tires to the Goodyear and I got them mounted and balanced today. I had an appointment at 1:30 PM and after three hours of swapping them, I was finally out and on the road. I was going to get it aligned, but if it takes three hours to swap tires, I didn’t want to spend another two hours getting an alignment.😂

The goober who tightened the lugnuts down used an impact. Once it was on the ground, he used a torque wrench to tighten them down. Needless to say, he didn’t have to tighten many. I told the manager about it and he just stood there like a deer in the headlights. I’ll be loosening and re-torquing them tomorrow.

Bought new tires for my F250 last month. They are 18" which I think are easier to find.

Just purchased a set of Michelin PS4 for my C4S from Tire Rack. No issues whatsoever and they will be delivered and installed to my preferred shop so that I may get a corner balance and alignment while I'm there.
