Putin cancer?

I am not a fan of Putin. I have read speculation in the last Month(s) of his poor health.

I see many reports today 5/12022 of a cancer surgery for him.

Is this disinformation? If not, how does this change things?

Reported by Russian 'telegram' account, then UK papers. ( I posted at about the same/right after time P-Gal did )

Apparently speculated he had surgery for same problems in 2020, and was supposed to have surgery this april, but will hold off until after the May 9th parade, and will let Nikolai Patrushev take control.

A lot of speculation about schizophrenia and using 'western' drugs in increasingly higher doses.

Interesting video I watched a while back by McFaul, former US ambassador to Russia in which he talked about Putin's trust in fellow FSB/KGB members over military leaders, causing a stilted makeup of Putin's inner circles. Not surprising he'd use his fave buddy to help out. If true, will be interesting to see how loyal he really is.

A little bit of hijack, but I was watching this video yesterday. Not about putin's health, but about the complexity of the Russian federation. The interviewee takes the position that Russia will fragment soon. Whether or not that happens (and some of his opinions on how nuclear weapons would be handled seems a little too simplistic), this is a good overview on how complex the area is (or what the next big ruler of russia gets to deal with). Eventually, somebody will inherit a red hot mess.

Its a shame that a country's leader would be so obviously frail, ill, inept, and unable to perform the job properly with potentially catastrophic results; and most of that country's citizens just sit there and let it happen.

The last time I saw rumors of this nature were that he was going to step down for health reasons.
