The 959 on BaT brought $2,120,000

Is the Veyron going to beat that number?

I say no. The 959 appeals to a larger audience.

That Bugatti interior looks kind of early 2000's Nissan-ish.

Some cool stuff comes up, but I'm not prepared to spend $20-75k for a toy.

The more stuff you have, the more stuff you have to take care of.

This is very high on my thoughts list these days.

We had a modest house, almost 2000sqft, 2 car garage. The house was full of stuff, the garage was full of stuff. The kids left the house and we downsized to an apt. We got rid of A LOT of stuff. We had enough books to fill 25-30 feet of bookshelves a whole wall in multiple rooms. I had a garage full of stuff. We kept some things that we still have in storage. Now that we have moved back into a house, we are acquiring some stuff that you need when you have a house that you don't need in an apt.

My dad was in the Navy, so because of the international moving, we didn't acquire as much stuff as most folks. It's nice in a way "traveling light." There are times when I think about something specific and think "wish I still had that" but, I'd rather be how we are now, than have a ton of stuff.

Hardly the big story of today, but, unsurprisingly,
The Veyron missed the reserve.
It only reached a million, and that amount was bid very early on. No new bids at the end of the auction.
