Is a 1/4" drive 10mm socket the bastard child of a 1/2 and 3/8 drive mating?

Could be...okay, I just went to my rollaway. 10mm in both 3/8 and 1/4 drive. Short, long, mid length, 6 point, 12 point, swivel sockets in both drives...USA made "Craftsperson" all. Even a 10mm short 12 point in 1/2" drive. Doubt I've ever used that one...never needed 1/2" drive grunt on a 10mm fastener that I can recall.

None are snap on or other high end tool makers. So, that doesn't make me rich..only comfortable.

I think I figured it out! The matte black 10mm mated with the chrome 10mm and made several matte baby 10mm sockets. This has to be the explanation! But that would mean that the shiny black 10mm mated with one of the matte steel 10mm and made the matte black 10mm. It all seems so incestuous.

I was at HD or Harbor - I don't remember. I saw a nice 10mm deep socket and thought.. I better get that now because I'll need it later. Bought it home and found one exactly like it in the drawer where it was supposed to be. I'm stocking up.

Not my thing either. If you ever vacation at a beach in Mexico, you're likely to see that which seems weird to me. When we were younger, we went on 2 Mexican beach vacations, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas, and in both locations, there were people that would braid your hair like that and I always saw a surprising number of women and girls with them which seemed odd to me.
