I guarantee it is not the post office holding this up.

Tags for my truck-$750 Tags for my wife's SUV--$800 (just one year for both of these) Tags for my '03 Z--$50 for 2 years Ostensibly, we pay really high rates as these fees go to maintaining our roads. Any of you driven around Tucson lately? Fairly certain they're in the running for worst roads in America...

I've always been impressed at how fast MI is with plate renewal.
Click on the site with your cc info...3-4 days later the stickers arrive. The stickers for my 911's are $30 for 10 years each.

I went into the local DMV (expecting the worse) to update the address on my CDL. I was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted by a competent polite woman who spoke English as her 1st language. I completed an application on their touch-screens and was directed to a window with another very nice, efficient, woman whose 1st language was English. Within 10 minutes I was done and out the door. Amazingly, about 1 week later, my new CDL arrived in the mail. WTF?

Over the years I've had good service at the CA DMV.

I used to go into AAA but since they cancelled my home insurance I cut all business with them. This is the longest it’s ever taken. Maybe they are trying to get my 430000 mile truck off the road. Devious bastiches!

They don't prosecute for expired tabs anymore, so why worry? I always like to look at all the expired tabs while waiting in traffic, pretty amusing.
