I feed a lot of critters in the back yard: various birds, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, but raccoons are the exception.
Raccoons probably destroy more wildlife than feral house cats.

Find a good recipe and source subsonic .22lr or a quite BB rifle.

^^^ Raccoons and opossums are both on the same list for me....when they make my yard their home.

I had a racoon pull the bird bath over on top of himself at the Armadillo Ranch. If he had just been patient, the rain was coming. I found him after the deluge had added insult to injury and thoroughly drenched his crushed body.

At the bird bath behind my house, I not only get the usual song birds but ducks, hawks and even vultures.

Possums are good critters imo. Nocturnal and quiet.
Same with skunks, which reputedly make good house pets after the glands are removed.

Raccoons I will 'shoo away' off the property in any way possible.

We have about 20 chickens. Used to have 25. Possums love going for the eggs still inside the hens while they roost. Not a pretty sight in the morning. I now make sure the coop door is closed at night.

Someone on here gave me the tip to use large marshmallows as bait in the live trap.
It works...they think they are eggs.

When it's windy...it sometimes won't connect at all.

I have my doubts that it would connect underwater.
Plus..it's corded.

The unit I use for my far cameras seems to be NLA but try something like this.

^^^ I've tried various repeaters and never found one that worked real well.

The one in your link says that I need a removeable antenna on my router for it to work.
My router/modem does not have that.

stomachmonkey 07-07-2022 03:03 PM

If your camera has a removable antenna you can run it backwards.

That’s how mine are set up.

This is the one that is streaming the pic in post#1
I've had it for almost 4 years now.

I'm wondering if there is a better one.
