the aim angle adjustment is infinite on the Zebra light. There's no clicking or hard plastic, but a silicone grip that light slips into and it turns where you want the light. Surprisingly it stays put very well.

You should talk to Jim Bremner. He is (or at least was in 2021) the National Sales Mgr (and agreed, I don't like the website either). See my post below which is quoted from above.

It looks like they've got 3 models (in 3 colors), the U mini which is just a flood, the U which is a flood and spot, and the U Pro which is also a flood and spot. The U is 350lumen and the Pro is 500lumen, so that's the difference between the two. The U and U Pro in black are both on a pretty big sale right now.

I don't have that problem with the Zebralight similar to what Look171 linked above. It ends up being just a thin layer of elastic cloth when adjusted for that.

Steve, I think most people are used to having calibrated stops at a certain angle so the light will hold itself in place. The Zebra's design is very simple and basic. We can stand, looking forward but have the light shine up into the ceiling or the floor within 1/2 second. Important thing is it will stay put. Their AA light have a floody lens too.

I've been using a LEDLENSER headlamp for a few years. Overall it's been great. "Made in China" but it has excellent build quality. I'm getting about 2 hours of good light using Duracells before it starts fading. It takes 3 AAA's and I tried rechargeable batteries at first but you'd be lucky to get an hour of good light before they need recharging.

Practically and more often I've been using a small LEDLENSER flashlight held in my mouth with some sports tape wrapped on the end to save my teeth. It's not the best solution but it works.

And now that the U Pro in black is only $45 instead of the usual $75, I ordered one. It's a shame that they don't seem to sell on Amazon and they only take Paypal, but I wanted one and that seemed like a great deal so I ordered.

My moonsport U Pro is arriving today. They come in white, black, and gray. If you are OK with black, those are on sale. They can be run with the spot, flood, or both lights.

Mine wasn't dead. I'd been thinking that the "quick start guide" which is on the inside lid of the box and what you get if you go to the website and search for a manual is lacking. I am one of the few folks that usually reads a manual fully. Since this manual is more like a comic book with a few panels of pics and little text, it didn't read it as carefully as most manuals. That's my fault (and probably also A930Rockets, keep reading)

When I received the light, it was at least partially charged. It was also "locked." I didn't think that it would be locked, and didn't look too closely at the locking/unlocking instructions since I didn't ever see myself using that function.

I plugged mine in, the side light is flashing and won’t stop. It did that when I tried to turn it on earlier today. Is yours flashing?

Edit. I held the on/off button for five seconds, it beeped and turned off. Reading the instructions, this locks the headlight from accidentally turning it on….

Edit 2: sounds like we’re going through the same thing. I’ve got mine plugged in, the blue lights on and charging. I’ll see what happens in the morning.

I think I've seen that it's only suppose to take two hours to charge. That's why I kept mucking with the buttons after 1-1.5 hours. I think you might find that it would work ok now.

Thank you! It was your post that trigger a realization for me. It's not the device that's having issues. IMO, it's the instructions.

When you and I held the power button until it beeped, we didn't lock the power, we unlocked it. When it arrived, it was locked. The blue flashing light is the "charging" indicator.

If you lock the power, and then you do a normal press, what happens is what I experienced, the light flashes twice. You press and hold for a while, and the 2 beeps means you just UNLOCKED the power. When you lock the power, it's one beep.

I've tinkered with it a bit, just standing in a dark room checking out the various settings. It seems to be a good bit of kit. The flexible flood light has a color that to me seems to be closer to daylight. The spotlight is a little bluer like most LEDs. The settings seem to work really well. The "flood-only" casts a nice even light. The spot+flood is clearly different than the spot-only. I'm not sure how much I'd use both, but we'll see. I can see using the red when I'm doing astronomy.

It's very comfortable when you're wearing it.

Checked mine this morning and everything is good. The band has no clips/buckles on the very back of the head, so when laying down under the car and looking up, it should be comfortable.

I have one of those. The tilt feature is nice but WTH with the green or red lights? - I'm often pushing the wrong button and get those. Also, unlike the array LED bands, that thing is not great for tight spaces - it's a big barnacle that gets knocked around a lot. Also don't like having to toggle thru all the brightness modes to turn on and off.

The one masraum posted looks like a winner.

I tested it out last night in the dark at bed time so the house was completely dark. It seems like it's going to be a good headlight. The spot is plenty bright, and the flood is adequate to light a large area.

Used mine today. It would be nice if it lasted longer…maybe I need to buy another one! 😂

It doesn't have a huge spot for a battery. I think it will last longer if you use one of the dimmer settings and or only the flood or only the spot.
