My near 89 yo FIL went on Monday. Good for him!!

Anyway, I was asking my wife how he did. He said he got "his limit". I said, dang that's 15 I believe. No, "his" limit, meaning the actual number of what he got. So he brought home 2.

Just nice that he can get out and do it.

Interesting, never heard of dove hunting. Who’s the lucky one who has to clean all those, that would suck.

I'll be lucky to see 89, much less hunt!

Stealth dove are **** simple to clean. Takes about 15 seconds per bird as you're just popping the breast plate out.

I believe we all make mistakes but I will not validate your poor choices and/or perversions and subsidize the results your actions.

Yep, cleaning is a breeze. Thumb up the cavity and rip. Once you are proficient it is a very short process that leaves only the breast without any skin or need to pluck feathers. Most dudes bring a good pair of shears to clip off wings.

Beretta: is baiting fields allowed up there? Big no no here even though you can put out corn for deer.

I pull the head off when I pick up the downed bird. At cleaning I break the wings off with my fingers and then pull out the beast. Easy peasy

Baiting no but often crops will be cut just prior.
