I dusted off the partscaster last week and did some upgrades:

Warmer alnico V pick ups, new bone nut, and locking tuners.
Yep, been resisting for a long while but finally caved to the new fad
Gotta say I like em.
I also blocked and decked the trem.
Almost never used it and figured it was more of a problem than a benefit.
And if I change my mind I can undo it with a phillips and 5 minutes.

I'm happy with the changes, best $100 I ever spent

Now I just gotta get used to the strat neck again.
Always preferred the LP for some reason.

But it uncovered one uncomfortable fact: I may be better at working on a guitar than at playing it
