Yes, I've been a member since 1999, and a DE instructor and PCA Club Racer in more recent years.

A lot has changed as far as the cars and members in the last 20 years as far as DE.
It used to be a bunch of car guys working on and driving their cars hard.
Now it's about the latest and greatest and wearing skinny jeans.

I will be attending a upcoming event where 350 Porsche drivers will show up to see the fall foliage in Arkansas. Only a couple of 356s attend, 5 or 6 914s, lots of air cooled 911s, and bunches of Boxsters, Caymans, Macans , Cayennes, late model 911s and GT3s. For three years in a row a 918. It was so cool to see a 918 getting driven on the road with bugs and road dirt on it, like a regular car.

It is a great event and lots of fun.

A small part of the parking lot.

I tried for a while when I owned the 911, was mostly interested in arrive and drives but those horrified me and I wasn't really into the club social scene; having said that, I'm part of an ad-hoc splinter group that gets together once or month or so to swap lies around a hamburger.
