Super is $4.55 at Costco. Been like that since January.

fintstone 03-23-2023 07:26 AM

FYI...Sheetz is locally charging the same price for midgrade and premium as regular again. All are $3.04 gal.

stevej37 03-23-2023 07:35 AM

No Sheetz around here...I wish there were.
Reg $3.11 Prem $3.91 today here

JackDidley 03-23-2023 08:30 AM

$3.07 for 87 and $3.72 for 93 at Sams today. I bought 93 due to drag racing coming soon.

Flat Six 03-23-2023 08:56 AM

$4.33 (87)
$4.81 (91)
$4.47 (Diesel)

Sheetz pricing is odd. There's a reason for the flat pricing but I don't know what it is.

stevej37 03-30-2023 12:50 PM

Gas took another jump today here.
Reg..$3.55
Prem...$4.35

The roads are clear of ice...need the Prem. with the v-tech.

JackDidley 03-30-2023 06:26 PM

$3.05 and $3.65 at Sams today.

Here's a handy chart from Gasbuddy. US, California and San Jose CA.
You can make a custom chart entering time frame and location.

stevej37 03-31-2023 08:09 AM

well...at least the diff between CA and other states has remained consistent.

hcoles 03-31-2023 08:30 AM

And if we adjust for inflation in 2022 dollars we get this chart.
Gas is a good value, it has been going down in terms of affordability. Why are we complaining?

Evans, Marv 03-31-2023 08:35 AM

Average price of gas here is $4.85 just before the more expensive "summer blend" begins.

stevej37 03-31-2023 01:12 PM

^^^ I thought the winter blend was more expensive.

Evans, Marv 03-31-2023 08:55 PM

^^^ I'm just going by what the local news recently said. They could have had it backwards. I wouldn't know actually, since I only buy gas maybe once a month - sometimes less.

I could be wrong but IIRC both are true -- price jacks up in Kalifornia whenever the switch happens (summer -> winter or winter -> summer) because the refineries slow down/shut down to change blends.

Because real wages (adjusted for inflation) are decreasing. So, wages (needed to purchase gasoline and other necessities) are not keeping up with inflation like gasoline prices.

Price might be for 6...still makes gas cheaper than water.

fintstone 04-02-2023 02:56 PM

Not where I live. Water is free (maybe a little electricity to pump it). All I have to do is turn on a faucet...and it comes in hot or cold. You are largely paying for convenience with that bottled water, not water.

When was the last time you had someone deliver a gallon of gas to your doorstep? The delivery and container would cost as much as the gas.

Here is a 5-gallon container of gas for only $83.25 and 62.66 for delivery....so you can save with volume.
