The sake bottle breaking in the back when she says that she’s looking for Hatori Hanzo is a nice touch!

What makes this theme song so hauntingly beautiful is the whistling....
Release Dates September 12th 1964 (Italy) January 18th 1967 (USA)

This scene reminds me of my "well-meaning" family members - none of whom lived here where Mom did.....and I did - none of whom gave a crap about what my Mom wanted. Or really what was in HER best interest.
All they were thinking about was THEMSELVES and trying to ease some of the guilt from not being as good to her as she had been to them....her WHOLE life! I try not to hold onto too much animosity.....but my God I will never forget how clueless these people were. About as useless as tits on a bull...... ![]()

Quite a memory, Baz. Traditional advice is to "let it go". Not as easy as it sounds...how well I know.
I wish you well in dealing with it. Yes, there are movie scenes and song lyrics that we can identify with...

I couldn't find the complete scene with the part where Carl pushes the detonator into the ass of the plastic explosive "friend" of the gopher.

If you loved her, she was the one working the front desk at the first motel in "no country for old men". She was needling Josh Borland about single or twin beds.
