Yep that’s the brand. Very popular in the sim forums for sure. Weird feeling but I like that I’m no longer afraid to hit down with irons. Getting much much better results.

I don't have putting. I think you need one of the fancier launch monitors for that. What the apps do is anywhere on the green is a two put and if you're inside a fairly small circle around the pin you get a 1 put.

If I could do that in real life, I wouldn't need to practice

Quick Sea Story.

When I was the Air Boss for COMMIDEASTFOR, the CO of the ship was a golfer. He played a lot at the Awali Golf Club in Manama, Bahrain, pictured below in a screen shot.

All dirt fairways, "greens" are oiled sand...the big dark circles in the screen shot. You carried a small mat of some plastic turf with you and set your ball on it to hit.

A surprising amount of fun.

Love your set up!

I used to be an okay golfer (nine handicap) but walked away from the game suddenly and completely in mid-2015 (other than an hour spent at Top Golf a few years ago). Haven't touched the artillery in going on eight years, yet I seemed to have survived just fine.

Now though, there's an itch that just might have to be scratched.

I'm beginning to wish I'd never opened this thread.

If you want to improve your swing, take some videos. It helps to figure things out if you can see what you are doing.

Oh yeah, relax, like when you are shooting a rifle.

Norm here's the next step up in sim..

Now this guy is in a room of his home but for a couple grand you can have screen and projector set up in the garage. I'm holding off on that unless a dirt cheap projector falls in my lap. In part because i like to open the garage door and the light requirement from a projector in that instance will be pretty high.

Tobra the garmin R10 comes with a phone clip that you mount on your bag or elsewhere and it automatically videos your swings.

Forgive me if this has been asked/answered, but will this unit allow for multiple players at a time? A little Nassau action in the basement might be fun.

So the thing to keep in mind is you play games/driving range/challenges via apps of which there are several. AFAIK they all allow multiple players. I played 9 with my neighbor this weekend in awesome golf. Just 'add player'. I believe there are also virtual leagues you can sign up to play in.

Here's the Garmin page on it. https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/695391#overview

There is another golf game you can play with it that requires a patch of some sort to link. The graphics require a gaming type pc and are stunning. https://gsprogolf.com/

You can spend a LOT more on launch monitors. Other big brands include the Mevo +, Uneekor, etc.
