All that said, the John/Paul songwriting team laid up a library that surpasses all others of the modern era. By a wide margin. Regardless of what measure is used. Billboard. Sales. Elevators.
Steely Dan's interpretation of Lennon's "Imagine" was that of hypocrisy.....

It's perfectly fine to have a different opinion.

For example - I think McCartney's post-Beatles work is nothing short of amazing.

ESPECIALLY with Wings.

In part because of Linda's contributions.

But those first two McCartney solo albums......pure genius!

Yep... I wouldn't mind being poor like Ringo...

The Paul/John argument is a lot like Ford/Chevy discussions. Kind of pointless.

They made some good music together and then it was over. I did enjoy the Get Back series on Netflix or Disney was quite good. Ringo was the only guy that seemed to show up to work everyday.

And I'm with the crowd that has never been a fan - at all - of the Beatles, especially their later stuff, and yet have always enjoyed Paul McCartney's post-Beatles music.

Point being, when it comes to music, it really just comes down to personal preference.

Steely Dan had a point...
