I'm FB friends with a few exes. Two of them are as hot as ever, but I'm still happy to not be with them. Another, while I always thought she was pretty cool, has not aged too well. She seems healthy and happy with a husband and a few kids. Just happy that I'm not involved. I should correct this. One of the hot ones, I'm not friends with on FB, I just check her profile once in a while as it pops up in my feed because we have some mutual friends. Our break up was very bad and, even though it was 20 yrs. ago, I think we're both afraid to send friend requests.

Never been to any kind of reunion. My friend group in HS and University was small and I am only in contact with my university buddy/best man today. I would never disparage an ex and as some have mentioned above I only wish them well. I have not aged well either and now 60 am packing some extra pounds and sporting less hair where I would prefer it to be. I’m hoping we all have some grace to not expect an ex to look like they did 30+ years ago.

I won't be going to my next reunion, which was supposed to be held duriing the beginning of Covid. I enjoyed seeing old classmates up to the 50th, but not very interested. My H.S. girlfriend turned out to be a real weirdo. Was involved in the Haight Asbury drug scene, joined a weird religious group, became an eastern religion nut, and now aparently promoting the magic of dolphins. She visited me 50 years ago and is the only woman to give me an STD - a case of the clap. I haven't been tempted for a long time, especially since I met many fantastic ladies during my voyage. Still great friends with one old GF and X wife though.

My 50th is in June. I thought about going, but it just makes no real sense for me. It is 900 miles away. I attended that school for just two years, and it was the only school I ever got to go to for two years. Every other school was one year only.

Anyway, I lived on base at Maxwell AFB and none of my school friends were even close. Not one ever invited me to come hang out with them. I was almost always working if not in school anyway. There are no old friends to reconnect with.

My wife drug me along to her 50th HS reunion. She had known many of them since grade school, and had fun reconnecting. I can talk to anyone, and had some interesting conversations with total strangers and enjoyed the experience.

my wife was the lead babysitter in her small town growing up. and she was a sadist. she'd do fear factor things with the kids. run around the block three times. loser eats a tuna honey sandwich.

thirty years later all these boys all want to be her friend on facebook. really really want to be her friend. it's little creepy.

Hey Sugar!

I am a couple lbs. over what I used to be. And my hair is thinner and greyer. (It seems I look good enough that the 30-40 year old cute pizza lady gave some flirts today at lunch. Not interested. But a compliment)

But I am not a goofy overweight cat lady. I won't show the picture. She pulled a near 180.

I understand entropy and what happens to people lucky enough not to die.

Let's just say it was a big shocker.

Isn’t there a way to vote somebody to ban island?

If not, there should be.

Some advice: Just don't.

I have peripherally kept in touch (via social media) with a HS ex. She still looks great (just now 50, not 18).

And the "hot girl" friend from HS is still as strikingly beautiful as ever. A few years ago, someone here on PPOT posted a pic of her (something about sexy Halloween costumes--she was maybe just out of college in that pic--and I recognized her in the photo, as she had shared it with me years earlier. She now does luxury travel blogging, so plenty of social media exposure for her. There was a pic of her with Cindy Crawford at some charity event. She made Cindy Crawford look old and haggard. This friend's 50, going on 30.

It was heart breaking to see his father up there at the funeral, talking about his son, cry just thinking about it. E

Everybody was so old. I guess I got clear of the first wife before she aged me too much. At our son's wedding I met his father in law for the first time. He was clearly shocked that i had been married to her. The years have not been kind to my ex wife. Now, none of the grandkids like her, which I thought was funny at first, but it is really kind of sad.

I had a couple exes try and reconnect, mostly during my brief foray into facebook. Not a lot of good reasons for a former flame to look you up, even fewer to respond.

Unless you are looking for trouble. Trouble finds me easy enough already.
I went to a childhood friend's funeral a few months back. His Mom was my kindergarten teacher. She's now outlived 2 of her 3 kids. Just sad. He was a seemingly healthy and fit guy who had a heart event just shy of 60 and didn't recover. Life is short. I get more reminders of that frequently.

I have been to several funerals of friends that are younger than I am. Great folks dying from various health issues. One was a vegetarian health nut that biked 200 miles per week, but kidney cancer got him at age 50.
