I have also been a fan of Vuanets since and also have some from the 80s and like the Ray-Ban wayfares, last have the new versions of what I wore in the 80s. Since Oakley was a sponsor of mine when I was chasing points on the National BMX circuit, I still have original Oakley Eye shades, Blades and Razor Blades, as well as modern versions including my shooting glasses.
Speaking of shooting glasses, these are the Bees Knees.
I do have several other brands including, of course, a few sets of Porsche Design .
For swimming and beating I tried and like Shady Ray's, for surfing, the beach, swimming and trail and track rides, they are light, look good and have a unbelievable warranty and to top that off, every pair you buy, a portion goes to Veterans .
So I guess you can add sunglasses to the list of what Byron collects.

Byron those are the BEST shooting glasses. Marketed to the clay shooting community (and archery as well i think) and incredibly popular. Fantastic clarity with a huge number of lens color choices.

For day to day i like MJ's Blue Hawaii lenses (though too easy to scratch) and Costas green mirror glass.

The 52 CHC are a really nice all around color. Anything with 'N' kills green. Check out claytargetvision.com for good prices and comprehensive selection.

I loved mine .

I was very happy to find out that that they were available again.
Needless to say, I'm a cheap SOB, so I wait until Black Friday to buy.

I’ve been a fan of Ray-Bans for years .. always polarized.
I have blue eyes and have always been extremely sensitive to bright sunlight, but spend a lot of time outside and driving. I always go with the style that wraps around the sides and fitts closer to my face. Been wearing the conductor series for the last 20 years or so.

Do you really want to get me started in on eye glass frames....and where I got them from...think draggin azz jeans... I am so blind that I have to wear prescription..

First score was the best score...I am lookin through the sun glasses, eye glasses rack at my local Thrift..I pick out a pair that are unusual..good quality...hmmm start looking for the brand..can't find it..I noticed engraving all along the top of the frames...I notice made in Italy...then the LV engraved in the lenses...and I figure it out Louis Vuitton aviators brand new for $1.99...

I wear Saffilo's including Carrara sunglasses, Gucci, Armani, Burberry. Boss, G Beane, Luxotica, Ber Del, lately Ocean Optic...

Have Porsche Design, Zegna, Jaguar, Ray Ban, Peoples, Serengeti, REVO and handmade Titanium Matsudas.. all waiting in a box..

Ray ban wrap arounds for outdoors, maui jim wrap arounds for every day and recently a pair of Oakley aviators for everyday. For biking Oakley bike specific glasses. I do not buy Chinese gas station glasses. Too risky imho.

Well, this pretty much turns everything we've been told on its head. Takeaways: 1) nearly all prescription clear eyeglasses today have UV protection built in and are 100% as effective as any tinted sunglass. 2) it is healthy to NOT wear sunglasses for 2-3 hours or more each day.

Interesting point that we, as a species, have been walking around for millions of years without sunglasses and did not go blind
