Compromised password alert

My pelican parts password has been compromised. Is this a scam or a scam alert. Afraid to click the link because it could be a scam.

Unless Pelican sent you that message, spam it.
What I do is copy the raw email and send it back. Every IP is shown. Seems to work. IDK anything about VPN's so I'm not sure how deep the raw thing goes. I guess it stops at the server IP.

All I know is I never answer my phone and never look at emails I didn't expect. I got one from our member masraum and it went to spam.

I don't have a bird...but I do have a few turtles.
Do I need to change their passwords?

You don't mention how you've heard that it was compromised. Was it an email, and if so where does it look like it came from?

It's probably a scam, but if you're concerned, login to the forum on their website (same as you posted) and change your password from there.

A pop-up message on a website, no, I wouldn't bother. Although, I can say that some browsers/systems if you save your password, do check that against passwords found in the wild to tell you if yous has been compromised. The following article has a list of some of the systems which can tell you that. If you save your passwords on an Apple device or in Chrome/Google or someplace else that's probably fine. If you go to a site that wants you to enter info to then check, I'd avoid that like the plague.

My Pelican identity was stolen. It was a HUGE pain. Some guy was using my ID to list a bunch of 911 parts. Once I got my account back my PM "in" box was stuffed with PMs from people wanting to buy and a lot of hate mail from people wondering where the parts they bought were.

Get a Moderator to send you a new password, then change it immediately. Don't do anything using your current password.

BTW the only way I got this resolved was because I had a friend here who knows my email address. He saw the ads and emailed me, asking if my ID had been stolen. He contacted Eric on my behalf. Eric sent me a secure password. It's good to have a way to contact a Pelican friend outside of the Pelican portal.
