I was going to get that. Instead bought the "touring" version and picked up the fishing cooler with some rod holders. Caught some bass, going g to still try an get a muskie this summer.

Some PWC mags did tests and clocked it at about 4.2 sec 0-60. It has "launch mode". LOL. |

That's what I would want...launch mode.
![]() I have no access to a lake...would have to trailer it wherever I wanted to use it. Lots of lakes around here...has me interested. I would surely use it more than a snowmobile.

On my way to work today, got on the interstate and was behind a truck pulling a trailer that had 2 of the biggest Sea Doos I had ever seen, looked like a nice set up and it was a very nice side by side trailer with flush mounted LED lighting.
Your floating dock looks like one made by Candock. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

I wouldn't want the cruise control option.

Had a buddy with a boat that did about 70mph. When you get knocked off a tube anywhere near those speeds the water turns to concrete.
You just tuck in and skip for a while hoping nothing bigger is ahead.

I’ve had four sets of SeaDoos over the years, the last two were supercharged versions that were around 255 hp… I had an RXP and an RXT and as you mention, it’s not so much the top speed, it’s the incredible acceleration rush that makes them so addictive!

Filled up the cooler with drinks, sandwiches, and snacks. Cruised around the lake and hung out at a sandbar. It's nice how little room it takes up at the house when it is on a trailer. Certainly regular boats have their advantages, but trying this out for now. |

Looks like fun. I’ve never ridden one, but we used to go to West Yosemite during the winter and ride snowmobiles. What a blast!
Why do they have that vertical spray out the back? Is that a visual cue for another PWC, or boat to not hit you |

That was an older Yamaha "feature" for visibility. I don't think they've had that for a while.

The fun factor looks to be volume 11 in this one. Very cool.
Never been on one of those things but it's on the list now.

I owned a couple 20 years ago and have friends that still do. Personally the novelty wore off for me. More of a social sport. Bombing around gets old pretty quick.
The one we are talking about is very big. Like 12' aluminum boat big. Seats 3 so you can pull a tube legally. Ya it will yank your arms off. I've always thought they should have windshields, but I guess I'm getting old.

I tried a fast 65+ personal watercraft at a ‘party’ a few years ago. Went out, went full speed. Stopped. Went full speed. Then big carving turns… turn in, oversteer, nose down nose up. in about 8 minutes i was bored. Whats next? Jump off at top speed?
It was stoopid. I docked and asked what i was supposed to do on it next. Guy that owned it single handedly got jet skis banned from his city. He was out there on the lake every morning and making a racket and tearing it up all alone. Weirdest thing. Hed had some concussions. These days theres a pair of 17 year olds that drive back and forth, back and forth. Big smiles but makes me wonder what theyre gunna be when they grow up. I dont have the gene that makes me think its fun to watch sports, ditto the jet ski gene. But then im out in the woods alone with my mountain bike, probably bunch of people think thats weird. Id much rather have a modern sport bike. |

I live on the lake and a couple of marinas bought fleets of these things for rentals this year. (not the supercharged ones)
For some stoopid reason you don't need a boaters license to rent one, just sign a waiver that someone showed you how to drive it. Own or borrow one yes you need a license, but not to rent one. Something bad is going to happen.
