Now that our area is becoming more upscale and everyone is buying up land and houses here, you cant swing a cat without hitting a cayenne with a housewife in it .
I had my time with pickups and SUV's. I still have my dually , a service truck and a big roll back tow truck . I can haul or move anything I need , cargo room is not a consideration .
I am totally back in cars .I feel like I wasted 2 decades driving around in pickups ,and SUV's . I only did that because of family life . Thats not an issue now

Z06's are great, but an older one is going to have a bunch of rattles etc.

I assume y'all are talking c5z06 when you say older, c6zo6 is a tough find at 25k.

LOVE C6Z06, but they are 40ishK and the ls7 as much as it pains me to say is a reliability liability. C6 Grandsport is a nicer car than c5z06 and is just as fast and same price range. It may take some time to find a manual one, assuming fred is a man of taste and he wants 3 pedals.

Even a regular c6 is a pretty fast car for 20k, spend 5k on seat and minor suspension upgrades.

A minivan is still a minivan, even if its a fast minivan. Chilipeppers and pecans, oh how the mighty have fallen.

I don't quite understand. You have an sc but don't like losing stoplight drag races to minivans? Why are you racing minivans on the street?

Have you ever experienced the acceleration of a model x? They'll walk a corvette or a mustang, etc.

I vote you stop racing on the street and get a cool car that is fast enough. Try a newish miata they're pretty great to drive and you'll stop worrying about other people.

Says someone who has never driven one.

That was how I used to think, then I got one. Now we’ve had 4.

My 06 Cayenne Turbo S is my favourite of any vehicle I have owned…

Including all of those listed below…

If you are looking at Corvette, you can probably find one with less than 1,000 miles, original tires that has been garaged, with all window stickers and books, that the owner never drove and only trailered to Cars N Coffee events.

He'll probably include a pair of pleated Dockers khaki shorts and New Balance sneakers in blinding white leather.

My Sansabelt wearing Constitutional Law professor had one with the Delco stereo and the faded bumpers that showed the yellow primer underneath.

No, I love my sc. Its a bastard hot rod with a weber carbed 3.2, but it is what it is . 220 hp?? I have what I need to get my air cooled fix.
Im looking for something with motor.
Im not racing anybody on the street, that was just a silly comment. I pass most everybody on the road in my stupid little acura daily

I assure you I've driven both chilipeppers and pecans , in many of their numerous flavors. Not bad vehicles as far as modern cars go. But I'm a sports car guy, and they are not sports cars. Minivans, suv's, wagons, whatever you want to call them.

More ridiculous than a 3.4 swapped 914

Fred, there is a kit for the V-8 Miata. How many LS trucks are out there? You did say fast and impractical, right?

Does it have to have heat, or a windshield?

Odds are that it'll go for above your budget, but you never know. Also, in the used market, black ones don't bring the $ of green ones...
