The wife and I were talking about this the other day. I love the view here. This was taken this morning, part way up our driveway.

We are happy here with our view.
Best

I would have complained to the city when they allowed the two stories to be built behind the houses across the street in the power line right of way, but it wouldn't have done any good. They don't care that my sunset view is no more. Too much money involved in letting it happen.
Now I just wish the people renting the place across the street would mow the parkway more often than they do. The long grass does add a bit of greenery to the scene but makes the neighborhood look like crap IMO. The whole place is being over run with ADU's in what was a single family home neighborhood. No one uses their garage for parking except a few of us. There's probably three cars on avg in each household on our street. My neighbors look like a used car lot with skidoo's parked on the trailer.
I can remember sitting on a tractor when working the vineyard and looking at the mountains off in the distance. All I could think was how great it would be if my now wife were up there with me then. But she was off marrying some other dude at the time which is another story altogether.

VERY IMPORTANT! Did I mention how IMPORTANT it is?.....VERY IMPORTANT!

The beautiful southern Alberta Rocky Mountains on my doorstep! Been here since '98.....never tired of that view!

This will be my winter view at our almost completed cabin on Shuswap Lake in central BC:

The view of Hanalei Bay, Princeville in Kauai from our timeshare lanai:

This view and the Beautiful Women thread are what I plan to spend much of my retirement years looking at

A good view is so subjective. Personally, I could enjoy this one all day!

Put up my DJI drone this morning of my ranch north of Seattle.

A View?

how about a lack of a view? I love my 5 acres located in a heavily forested 100 acre sub-divison. Nearest neighbor is 600 feet away. I'm at the end of a dead end road so zero traffic..............sweetness.........makes my 3000 square foot shop look small.

More important than view to me is what is growing on the property. I bought this place because it had a mature mandarin orange tree and no swimming pool. Great soil, 5 mature fruit trees at my house. Lost a peach tree to someborer things, sucks. Productive peach that was loaded most every year, planting 2 mire of those things

4 citrus trees in containers, ready to go in the ground at my daughter's place in the Spring

Nah... He's an astronaut, real estate developer, and etrepreneur with 5,842 patents. More amazingly, he's being considered for the starting role in an upcoming movie.
Just because he's broke, unemployed, sleeping on his son's sofa, and dumb as a stump, is no reason to doubt him.

...The view of my neighborhood in 1930. My house is just out of frame to the left

Having a view is why I live here. Sailboat in the "backyard". Hoop on it several times a week. The lake is only 7 min away.
