Just seems strange that both ends of the rebar are clean with no blood stains.
No blood anywhere.

I'm just guessing, not being a trauma dr or first responder, but I'm guessing that to end up in that sort of situation it happens FAST. I wonder if the blood doesn't start flowing that fast. Certainly, with that poked into the skin, the vessels immediately adjacent to the puncture are likely to be squeezed off/shut.
