I drink both, but if I had to give one up it’d be coffee.

My parents had one of those too. For some reason I can remember it from an very early age. And I remember the coffee bean grinder. Ha, I guess all coffee beans needed grinding at home over 60 years ago

My parents told me and my brother that drinking coffee stunted your growth.

We had a family living behind us which included a boy our age - and he drank coffee - and they were all on the short side....so no way was I going near that stuff!
Baz, I have a similar percolator that my mother used. I had to use it last year when my coffee maker crapped out. It made a pretty good cup of coffee.

NGL... This morning's pharmaceuticals delivered by Folgers. We were out of beans.

But this week was our Jura's 10k-day! I think we're down to $0.20/shot "facilities" cost...

Flavor crystals are nowhere in this. I feel insulted...

I drink two cups of coffee, black, every morning.

At a restaurant I often order iced tea. No sweetener.

Coffee has to be hot, tea has to be cold.

Brain doctors (Brain Health Scientists & Neurologists Drs. Dean & Ayesha Sherzai) talking about your brain on coffee, https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/your-brain-on/id1730984252?i=1000669907799

Its generally good, but different metabolisms can produce different responses.

When I was a little fella, maybe 4-6, I'd occasionally have a tiny cup of coffee or more often a tiny taste of one of my grandmother's cups. She used cream and sugar. That was the last time that I had coffee. I like the smell of coffee, but not the taste. Maybe I'd drink it if it was loaded with cream and sugar, but I don't see any reason to start now.

I occasionally drink hot black tea with cream and sugar. Or what I like even more, is Asian (Japanese or Chinese) teas, oolong, green, white, etc.... I drink those plain, no cream, sugar, lemon, etc....

if I'm feeling sick hot tea is a total winner. enjoy earl grey with nothing else in it.

also having fun with the espresso machine making what I think is called a cortado.

The job I am at the guys on the team asked how much I drank at home when I work from home on occasion since we were talking about using a French Press. My carafe is 34oz but only 28 usable. I will have finished the third by 4:00pm. Doc asked if I still drank a lot of coffee and I said yeah. He said black? I said affirmative. He said OK.

I do occasionally still use the heavy cream and Torani syrups, but 5% of the time it is just plain, smooth, strong, black.

I have three or four espresso shots during the workday, or coffee if the good stuff is not available. If making coffee, I like French press or Bialetti moka pot. Drip is fine but I just prefer robust and punchy coffee. Make wife a latte every morning.

I’m not as addicted to coffee as I used to be. Back when I got to work at 5 am, at 6 am I’d be the first customer at the coffee shop for a 20 oz, then a refill an hour later, by 8 am I’d drunk 40 oz of black coffee. In those days I’d get the headache if I didn’t have coffee, that’s gone now.

Tea - I like it fine, even have some preferences (Dragonwell), but I am not really zen enough to savor a calming pot of tea - my days are more about dropping an espresso shot and getting on with things. Someday, maybe.

Never had a headache from not drinking coffee. Whether I have my normal 90oz or 0oz doesn't seem to make a difference.

Love tea... all types. Currently I'm on an unsweetened ice tea kick... I'm low brow though, Sam's club, by the gallon. I like it with some lemon juice and stevia. I also really enjoy hibiscus cold sugar free sweet. Had coffee as a kid, didn't care for it, which works out now as I don't think I need another thing on my must have food list .... more $$$ for beef bacon and butter.
I'm seriously working to get off of coke zero, that stuff seriously jumped in price, plus it's awful for me, the tea really helps as a sub.
