Also, the defense removed all pictures of OJ with white celebrities from his Brentwood estate and replaced them with OJ and black celebrities before the jurors toured it during the trial. They also replaced his mostly antique furniture with more modest furniture that they felt was more appropriate in a black person's home.

The prosecution objected to this but Lance Ito let the tour go on as planned. The defense felt that this would make OJ appear to be more of a "poor black man finds success and keeps his humble roots" narrative and many feel it helped sway the jurors.

I worked with OJ years ago on an HBO series "First And Ten". He was a nice enough guy. I have two friends who worked with him on "Frogmen" where he played a Navy Seal and received extensive training in knife combat skills. This was right before the murders.

I just hate that the SOB had to die on the same day as my Stepfather.

For the jury, the trial wasn't about O.J.
It was about justice denied for the Rodney King acquittals.

his acquittal was nothing more than PAYBACK
for the rotney king beating.

The jurors are just as guilty as OJ.

I agree with this in general, but I was watching an old video with one of the jurors who said Mark Fuhrman taking the 5th was key in the acquittal. Then I read he did that outside of the jury's presence, but I'm not sure what they were told. I think the evidence was overwhelming, but I think this jury was looking for an excuse and I think the DNA evidence was beyond them. F. Lee Bailey said Simpson probably would have been convicted if not for Fuhrman.

My dad was a defense lawyer and he said that the OJ trial was a “can’t lose” case from a defense standpoint. In other words, the easiest case he’s ever seen. When your entire case is built on blood evidence, (no witnesses, no murder weapon, etc.), and the police lose some of the collected blood, it’s a slam-dunk for the defense. Now they have no way to explain the loss and it could have been planted where needed by the police.

Do I think that OJ did it? Yes, of course. But it was a case that no defense lawyer could lose who was mildly competent. My dad also could not watch it on TV because the judge was so inept and everything about it was a joke.

I envision a football field in hell. Plenty of fire & brimstone. O.J. is handed a ball on his own 1 yard line and told to run. Run past 100 linebackers, all of them Dick Butkus replicants...
