I wore out several sport coats and suits in my wedding photographer career. There seems to be a rule (made by women) that most wedding are in spring to summer. Every wedding I shot I was sweating like a marathon runner. My dry cleaning bill was added in to the cost of shooting a wedding. I loved having a jacket and tie when it was 90 degrees and I was toting lots of camera gear.

One wedding the bride wanted on the 4th of July. It was over 100 degrees and I told her flat out I will not wear a sport coat and tie in that heat. She hed all of her bridesmaids in dark Navy blue dresses. I saw one bridesmaid swaying and I had to catch her as she fainted near the end of the ceremony. I just have to many bad memories of shooting weddings. It was a great part time gig for extra money, but I hated everything about it.

I last put on a coat and tie to go before a judge to swear I would fulfill the duties of executor of my parents estate. My wife accepts my very casual dress code. Slacks and a shirt with buttons all the way up the front is as dressed up as I will get. Otherwise shorts and a t-shirt. And I care not one whit what anyone thinks, except for my wife.

Speedo would make the occasion memorable for everyone.

If you get a new suit, have it be an inch or two large in the waist and wear braces (dress suspenders). You'll feel like you're not even wearing pants and when you strategically take off the jacket, you'll get to see the smiling faces of all the ladies.

Charcoal suit with soft plaid pattern. White French cuff shirt with cuff links if you have them. White shirt with short collar and a tie with cheerful colors. You'll be the best dressed man there. Appropriately so, since you are officiating.

Ya shoulda just altered your old suit. Take in the pants at the calf, bell bottoms! cut the sleeves off the jacket at the shoulder. Customize! if LaBron James can pull it off why can't you?

I have a dozen pairs of cufflinks but I'm good with buttons on the cuffs. The fit of the shirt at the neck and the tie knot both important and I see poor fitting collars and bad knots all the time. If that's the best they can do, they shouldn't wear a tie. Or button the shirt.

IDK fashionable but back when I worked for J&J I owned 7 suits because that was the required uniform for management. I traveled in a suit and had to wear the jacket anytime I wasn't in my lab.

Did he make a movie? It had a silly name like the Bumbler or maybe the Jerk?
