I am and we can agree to disagree in an amicable manner.

But I am biased because my dislike for Boulder is so strong it may be affecting my judgement.

What is wrong with Boulder? Two of my close friends are either from there or lived there for a long time. One was the QB for Colorado and the other is one of the hottest and nicest women I know in LA. :)

Their extreme politics are not my cup of tea, as it relates to the vast majority of the state.

Plus, I’m from the old Big 8 days when CU was in it so that adds to it.

I could tell you just idiot decisions they made regarding sports during Covid that no one else in the state implemented.

There is a great Ducati repair place there and the Shelby museum, so a couple bright spots.

It’s a lot different than it used to be even when I moved to the state in ‘01 from MN.

I’ll take your word on her hotness, esp compared to the other women in LA….

You are a smart guy, but as most, I suspect that you are simply biased towards those that largely agree with you. You see wins in your arguments (and hers) that simply were not...as well as failures in others' positions that perhaps you did not fully understand (as you primarily consume information from those media outlets that you agree with). Neither of you fare well in the PARF debates except from the relative safety of OT...where you can trash those that bested you in PARF (even if only in generalizations).

I see facts presented without further comment and lies rebutted quickly and easily because she is well informed. The bar for fact-checking and accuracy among your gang over there is so low that garden snake could not go under it. The only mystery to me is why she wastes her time on those people(?) Maybe it’s the only easy access she has to Trumpers, I’m really not sure.

I put you in a different category than most on that forum; I think that your arguments are frequently deranged but you have a certain integrity about you wrt sticking to your guns even when making absolutely no sense.

Everyone, male and female, has a story to tell and I want to hear it. Sit next to me, and I'm probably going to talk to you. Mention something about a painting in an art gallery, and we're liable to end up doing lunch. A byproduct of that is getting asked out, even when visiting Mexico. :)

In fastfred's dating thread rodrsr posted some interesting links as to why men are no longer approaching women. The general consensus was that it's just not worth it (for a variety of reasons). Some of the reasoning touched on in the comments was that women brought this on themselves.

Some of the comments were eye opening: Man looks at group of women in a train station for too long (when he was actually looking for a buddy behind a group of women). He gets labeled a creep.

Man offers an innocent cup of coffee to female coworker. Man is then brought into HR for counseling on unwanted sexual advances.
