Dawn dish soap.

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is well.

I’ve spent $ on various cleaners. I don’t know how many times Dawn comes in and just does a better job. With the changing season, the morning sun burns my face on the commute to work. Any film on my windshield is a problem. I use that aerosol can with the 1970’s drawing of a housewife as my glass cleaner. Marginal success. Last night i used warm water with a tiny jizz of dawn. My windshield looks good invisible right now except for the fresh bug kills.

I scrub my stove every evening with a dawn sudsy sponge. Same goes for my kitchen counters.

Palmolive should just tap out. Dawn soap is a multitasker

It's also eco friendly.

I agree. It's amazing other brands have never measured up to"Dawn." However if you're using it for your windshield, don't get it on the painted part of your vehicle. It also removes any wax you have on it.

vash 10-01-2024 09:28 AM

Wax? Yea, I need get on that. :)

I have more than a year into my new truck.. I have purchased wax, so there’s that.

Heard it mentioned with bird rescues after an oil spill.
(I don't use it actually but)

Try that after you get a bunch of oil and grease on your hands. It works rather well and almost as good as the hand cleaner from auto parts supply house.

Squeeze some down the drain so it sits in the trap way over night and it will clear all the oil thats been in that p-trap for months. Great stuff.

Somebody musta hacked vash's account .... dish soap? ....Dawn?

Or mebbe the fishin' is just really slow these days :D

If it's good for the duckies covered in oil is good for me too

craigster59 10-01-2024 10:07 AM

My Wife bought a new bottle with the large cap. I twisted it off and she showed me that all you have to do now is squeeze the bottle, no more twisting or flipping open a cap. Genius!

I keep a mixture of Dawn and water in a spray bottle and use it for all kinds of things in the shop... quick clean up of oil or grease on my hands, spray it on tire beads when mounting dismounting motorcycle tires on my tire machine. Pulling wire harnesses through a grommet. checking for leaking tires... lots of uses.

Dawn has arrived in my kitchen.

A couple months ago a contractors truck left an oil spot on my clean concrete driveway . It was aprox 3-4 inches in diameter. I took a bottle of Dawn and plopped down a good helping .

Didn't touch it just left it as is full strength . Over a period of a week had sunny and mid 90's to afternoon rains . Checked it at the end of the week the spot was gone ! Not even an outline of the stain . Good stuff

Dawn mixed with sawdust is an amazing hand cleaner

Good dish soap has a strong grease/oil cutting component, and that's why it's a good cleaner for "mechanic hands", especially if you add something that can scrub (saw dust, sand/grit, whatever).

♪♪ It's a new Dawn, it's a new day... ♪♪

The car painting guys on autobody101 . com even use it as part of the clean and prep process on car body panels. I use something else but Dawn sure is handy for washing dishes.

rwest 10-01-2024 11:53 AM

I use it to clean my eye glasses.

crustychief 10-01-2024 11:53 AM

i mix it with coffee grounds for dirty hands, cleans awesome and wakes the hands up.

cantdrv55 10-01-2024 11:57 AM

Just a little drop of Dawn and two drops of bleach in a spray bottle full of water cleans the kitchen counters just fine.
