This is by far my favorite time of year. I love everything about fall except for what comes next.

^^^ That's the way it went here also. I have been using the TracVac almost every day for the last week to clean them up. My lawn is a little over an acre and with several mature trees, makes for a lot to pick up. One more time this coming weekend should do it.

Same here.
The lawn service came today to put on the final application of fertilizer (winterizer 12-0-8). But I stopped him and asked if he noticed the back lawn was completely covered with layers of freshly fallen oak leaves. I had to explain that it didn’t seem to make sense to fertilize the leaves that are going to be sucked up and dumped in the compost pile at first chance when the rain let up. So, after discussing what I thought was not discussable, he agreed to only do the front yard which is windswept so no leaves. He emailed me the bill later and charged me for doing the entire lawn. I think he musta drank round-up in his youth or something.

^^^ I don't have any Oak trees, but I'm surprised yours are falling already. They are usually the last ones to fall around here.
My walnut trees have been bare for a couple weeks now.

Lots of live oaks here…green all year…only lose leaves when the new ones push off the old ones. More acorns this year than I’ve seen in the 12 years we’ve lived here. Continually pinging of the rain gutters and windows as they fall. Heyday for the squirrels.

Call it Life Planning, but here's my Ranch I call home in the Cascade Mountain Foothills an hour outside of Seattle.
My uncle has a country place That no one knows about He says it used to be a farm Before the Motor Law And on Sundays I elude the eyes And hop the Turbine Freight To far outside the Wire Where my white-haired uncle waits.............. I picked up the new DJI Air3s drone with a 50 meg pixel camera. A simple JPG image was over 20 meg in file size..........but oh are they pretty.
