The Tyrannosaurus Max is funny, and the night maxes. ^^^

I don't know who's doing the camera work for today's race, but it's absolutely terrible.

rfuerst911sc 10-26-2025 02:52 PM

I was looking forward to the last two laps between Charles and Max . Congrats to Lando and both Haas cars scored points . Well done 👏

GH85Carrera 10-26-2025 03:15 PM

I sure will not miss ESPN's pitiful coverage of the races next year. Even though I will have to pay for Apple TV to see F1 TV's coverage. As least they will not skip the interviews for a riveting game of corn-hole or pillow fighting.

The VSC at the end was just a killer for the end of the race.

rfuerst911sc 10-26-2025 03:47 PM

I am disappointed with Williams and Aston Martin . Seemed like they both were on an upward trajectory and have hit the performance wall .

oldE 10-26-2025 04:22 PM

Charles seems to be picking up a bit of luck, but 32 seconds!

They literally cut away when Merc swapped places. Then a bit later Crofty and Karun realized it had happened. May as well just shut up and let us figure it out on our own.

I was Apple averse for a long time but over the summer we needed to watch something and got a subscription. The app is a bit wonky but they have some great shows. We really enjoyed Tehran and Your Friends and Neighbors staring Joh Hamm. So for the price of F1 TV you will get more.

Can't be worse than ESPN for sure. Anyone remember the first weekend with ESPN and they had only one camera and it didn't show anything for the entire session except for some trees or something? Just as pitiful as Nicole Briscoe coming on the moment the champagne stops spraying and telling us to switch to the app if we want post race commentary. It was just an after thought to them.

Both Ferrari-powered teams well up on pace at altitude. Very interesting. Bearman even making moves stick. Quality drive from Ollie.

Marshalls on-track needing to deal with Sainz's firey rear-end sticking out necessitated the VSC. Poor timing, but proper call.

stealthn 10-27-2025 06:45 AM

Happy for Lando and Ollie but what a mess of a race.

I thought Charles kind of screwed over Hamilton at the start and was surprised Max didn’t get any penalty.

On to the next race!

3rd_gear_Ted 10-27-2025 08:24 AM

Haas came with an update and set up.
It work very well to create the race pace they had.
Keeping a Red Bull and both Mercedes at bay was sweet.
Best team performance ever in F1.
Team record setting pit stop of 2.2 sec. at a critical juncture sealed the deal
6th place in constructors would be nice

herr_oberst 10-27-2025 09:00 AM

I read somewhere that the Ferrari engines have a smaller turbo that spins up a little quicker in the high altitude of Mexico City. I don't know if that's true, or just internet fanwash, but the fact Ferrari had a decent outing makes it plausible.

astrochex 10-27-2025 09:03 AM

First of a series. Proper attitudes displayed, in my opinion.

I don't know about the Ferrari turbos, but I watched the Mercedes cars pull away from Piastri coming out of the last corner time and time again, giving themselves enough room to stave off an overtake by the end of the straight. They had good traction out of that corner.

I tried to watch that, and the restless fast cuts is like someone with ADHD. I could not take it. As an American, I sure hope they are not embarrassing next year, and it will be cool if they are competitive in the mid to upper field.

We will know in a few more months.

I was initially discouraged by the intro but I gutted it out and watched the entire piece. It gets better with good interviews with folks from bottom to top.

But what about the constant coverage of silly people in the stands wearing silly hats and clothes, jumping up and down and yelling?
Especially in Mexico and Japan, where they are more important than the actual race.
It wouldn't be F1 without at least a half hour per session of that instead of watching those boring cars.

Deschodt 10-27-2025 01:40 PM

If apple TV keeps all the features of F1TV it'll be great... I'm sure they'll have practice1-2-3, all the shows, pre and post... But F1Tv also had the ability to watch the race as "whichever driver" onboard and I don't know how they'd keep that... it was an app feature.. maybe 22 different channels ? also porsche supercup. I preferred paying for F1TV and sub'ing to Apple TV whenever I wanted (also they gave you a 6 devices feed, so one for a friend was OK), I guess now it's always Apple TV.. not a bad deal $ wise but maybe less good overall ? Oh well..

Lawson almost tagged a marshal, I bet MX gets fined.. Fun race. Love to see the see-saw at McLaren !

GH85Carrera 10-27-2025 03:21 PM

I will like having the ability to watch a race, while away from home, at on my schedule, and not have to wait until I get back home. I record all the practices, qualifying and the race of course.

Yea, the endless and stupid shots of the fans and "celebrities" I have never heard of, I will not miss at all. The occasional shot of the driver's girlfriends or "partners" that are mostly models or very pretty young ladies, well yea, I like seeing pretty ladies, but not in the middle of a race.

Back when I was about 14 or or 15 I figured out the 18 to 21 year old chicks are the hottest, and my opinion has never changed. I still like looking at them, but they don't see me at all.
