Sure was. Very happy with #1 guy.

LOL, as in Laughing over Lawson. He thought he was hot @#$% last year and flipped off Checo when passing. Now he's finding how hard that 2nd Red Bull seat is to conquer. Sucks to be last.

I guess he'll have a couple more races with the senior team.

Yuki, Yuki, Yuki !!!!

astrochex 03-21-2025 06:45 PM

Tsunoda just gets the job done.

Lawson should know what pressure feels like now. At the moment, he is not handling it well at all. I would not be surprised if WPOZZ’s prediction is correct. Liam has a bunch of growing up to do real fast.

WPOZZZ 03-21-2025 07:45 PM

Liam, this is Christian, box please.

I could never understand why Horner chose Lawson to promote to Red Bull.

Perez must be laughing his tail off right about now.

I believe Antonelli is the surprise rookie performer so far.

rfuerst911sc 03-22-2025 05:13 AM

Liam is in over his head at the moment . To be Max's teammate you need talent and nerves of steel . Right now I think Liam's nerves are getting to him . Not sure how long Red Bull can wait on a decision to make a driver swap ? The constructors championship is too important to only have Max collecting points . Very interesting qualy session .

And what is going on with Sainz and Williams? Is it the car, new team, communications? We know he can drive but Albon has his car about where it should be.

Carlos has said in China that he doesn't feel comfortable in the car yet . That tells me they haven't found his setup sweet spot yet . I think Carlos may be a quicker driver than Alex but not until Carlos has the setup he likes . Carlos also said his seat felt like it was loose , that certainly doesn't help .

So how long until Yuki replaces Liam to be next to Max? By which race? Mid-summer break?

I think the answer is how bad does Red Bull want the constructors championship . If that is the main goal and I am sure it is the sooner the better . Marko said yesterday that Yuki has really progressed . Is that a hint ? But Marko also said Hadjar has been very impressive . Is that a hint ?

The real problem is no matter who is in that seat you have many issues to juggle . First off your team mate is Max . Love him or hate him he is a top notch driver . So pressure is instant . Second issue even Max has admitted the Red Bull is a bear to wrangle . A very steep learning curve . Third issue is the short fuse of Helmut Marko . He eats and spits out drivers . Instant pressure .

There are no guarantees that Yuki or Hadjar or anyone else can instantly perform better . Perez had years to adapt and still struggled big time . I honestly think Red Bull need to correct the issues that make the car so edgy to drive . It is fast but seems like a very narrow performance window and not easy on tires . Like others I am interested to see how it plays out .

GH85Carrera 03-22-2025 02:37 PM

It should make for an interesting race.

rfuerst911sc 03-23-2025 06:18 AM

Congratulations to the winner . Another poor result for Liam......... tick tick tick goes the time left at Red Bull . Racing Bulls need to up their game on race strategy . Nice points for both Haas cars and Albon on his birthday gets points . On to the next one we go :D

Three cars dsq’d from China, including two from a prominent team.

Wow that hurts Ferrari in constructors championship, they had both scored points and now none .

3rd_gear_Ted 03-23-2025 10:00 AM

The HAAS team got big time points and regained their race pace. In closing laps both cars were pressuring for a pass until it became a hang on to your tires scenario.

GH85Carrera 03-23-2025 10:38 AM

Interesting race. Astonishing that both Ferraris were DQ.

Deschodt 03-23-2025 11:07 AM

Some German sites are already reporting Yuki and Liam swapping at Suzuka - not sure if it’s real or for how long.. seems like on pace alone the Red Bull is a nightmare and that Verstappen is the only one gifted enough to drive around it. Every #2 at RB has suffered - I bet Yuki also does if this is real.

As for Leckerc I wonder how heavy a front wing end plate plus some more marble pickup woulda been… nobody mentioned Ocon on my feed - what a result considering there were nowhere !
