Don't forget when Ricciardo won while missing a couple hundred horsepower from his ailing Red Bull.

His greatest moment in F1 by far.

Tifosi at their finest and there wasn't even race on

You can take me out of Ferarri and Italy put me in another F1 team and country but I'll always be a tifosi

Racing Bulls gets my vote for best livery, great to see a colour scheme very different to last year's

I think too much should no be made of this mandatory pit stop. All they have to do is bring super degrading tires, and it'll take care of itself. It's just another strategy call, 2 instead of one, 2 opportunities to shine or mess up... The in and out lap will be fun, twice, and that will be all the excitement on hand. It's not like the Formula E shortcut for extra power, whatever that was called, it's another pit stop that could have been a completely natural thing depending on which tires were brought by Pirelli.

Glad the Cube worked for you Eric ! I found connectivity much better than the TV's cheap circuitry.

Prost is 70 today. (Happy Birthday, Alain. I'll get your gift out to you later today.) This news makes me feel kinda old, but I'm sure glad I was a fan and watching races every other Sunday in one of the finest eras in Forumula 1.

Lauda and Prost, what a team. The Rat's grit, and The Professor's patience. 1984 championship came down to a 0.5 point difference. What a season.

Watched many a drive with Alain doddling away in 3rd waiting for 1 & 2 to trip over themselves, and snatch another win. And his driving style is an exercise in minimalism. Beautiful.

Joyeux Anniversaire, Alain!

Also, much as I found Buxton endearing, he sometimes sounded like he was on Coke, new guy is OK...

You probably know, but they explained on the commentary that Williams (and Alpine) are essentially reusing the tub from last year, so while there are aero tweaks it's a very well sorted car already and likely to peak sooner and look good in testing, but not progress as much throughout the season. Williams are 100% on 2026 hoping to pull off a "brawn" coup with the new rules. I really like that team, Vowles is a smart and measured guy and it's hard to dislike their driver lineup.

To me the biggest surprise is HAAS. They looked decent last year, they are nowhere so far and bits falling off too... Looking fwd to another full day on F1TV and possibly WEC opener on MAX - gotta look!

Really like Williams too, have a firm offer to join them, really mulling it over, challenge of helping the team fight their way back to winning again is a very appealing

Team is going in only one direction, owners are investing heavily, engineering management know their beans and the leaders aren't afraid of making brave strategic decisions

Worked with James when he started his F1 career, he's a good guy, done very well for himself and doing a hugely impressive job leading the team

Finished watching day # session 2.. Regardless of times - set at different times by drivers, it's looking really good for McLaren (I will go to my grave having to lookup mclaren vs MacLaren I swear). The pundit's feel was more or less as follows:

1- McLaren
2-3 Ferrari and Mercedes
4- Redbull...
5- Williams !
6- Alpine
7- Haas
8-Vcarb
9-Sauber
Aston - hard to tell, ran a lot less, definitely not top 4 though.

Just need to spend time on my house but like working on fast cars too much so find it hard to say no

I'm my own worst enemy

Promise this year I'll make enough progress to post some house up dates

Testing is done and dusted, still amazed how reliable teams are during the first track running of their new cars

Not many weeks until 1st race, can't wait to see where each team is

Tight to the wire 4x way battle between McLaren, Ferrari, RBR, Mercedes and their fastest drivers would give F1 fans something to get excited about but hope RBR and Max win both championships, sorry, only for purely selfish reasons

Would be great to see Lewis fighting for race wins, especially an Italian race win, Tifosi will love Lewis if he can

Hope Williams move up to front of mid-field and Haas keep their progress going in the right direction

Interested to see who wins the rookie championship and which teams stop development first to fully focus on 2026

So much to look forward too
