High cost wallet, anyone?
Hey, if you ever wanted to $pend 200 to 300 smackers on an all hand made & stitched wallet made from carefully selected leather, here's your guy. Expect a year or so wait for delivery...the waiting list is long. Here's his website if you wish to shop styles & prices.

I have a plastic case on my iPhone. 3 cards. Nothing else. It’s awesome.
I did buy a cheap Velcro “drop” wallet for when I travel to high crime areas. Haven’t needed it yet. Thankfully. |
Uh, no.
|
Nope for me.
I have a Bando Dash wallet. Nice and thin, and I can carry all the ID, medical, credit cards with some analog business cards. And even 60 to 80 bucks in cash for the OMG emergencies. |
My current wallet is a cloth velcro closure WalMart special that is as old as dirt. Oddly enough it still holds on to whatever I put in it.
|
Mine? Old leather tri fold thing...think I paid $20 or so. But what happened to all the high end pocket knives & luxury watch guys here? I thought they'd want to complete their image?
|
I wait for the $20 wallets I like are on sale for $4 or $5 and then buy two. They last a few years...and then I do it again.

I have an Ekster switch blade wallet that my brother-in-law used in a commercial when Ekster sponsored one of his videos.

Anybody remember those eel skin wallets from the 80s? I had one to go along with my Members Only jacket. [emoji38]

The last few years, all I carry is my drivers license and a credit card.
|
I would, I could, but by the time I'd paid for the wallet I wouldn't have any money left to put in it.
I tend to use those synthetic canvas looking wallets made by Rip curl. They have all the compartments you could ever want but are still slim and skinny enough to easily slide into your pocket. And they last many years. |
I like it.
|
LOL, I’m rocking a genuine leather from TJ Maxx.:D That’s right I’m judging you Velcro boys!
|
As someone who appreciates craftsmanship, I don't get it. Seems like an odd design and I'm going to guess not really functional.
Me, I saw the $125 Ridge hard micro wallets posted here years ago. Googled the image and found the exact same carbon flake one for $17. That was well over 5 years ago, still works great. |

What is funny? The economic status of this group is much higher than average. And so far there isn’t much of an enthusiasm for a luxury product.
Interesting conclusions can be made. |
I’ve had an Il Bisonte for about 20 years. I used to live next to their shop in NYC that was on Sullivan Street. I would go in there and drool but couldn’t afford anything in there. The day before I moved out for good I splurged on it and it’s clearly going to last my entire lifetime. Well worth the $150 or so that it was back then. Been in my pocket every day since. Have a few other items from them and all amazing quality.

Indeed...especially in light of the wristwatch and other threads... |
My $310 wallet would have 3 Benjamins inside :D
|
Bought a Ghurka trifold wallet in 1998 (when they were on sale).
Sale price was about $35 iirc. Still looks almost new, so I'm sub $2 a year. What's really funny about that is I have a spare that I bought at the same time still in the paper. I'll be dead long before I need a new wallet. |
