Thank you so much for all the posts.
I'll bounce a couple of replies to the review for my fellow birds to critique before I reply to him.
The one thing I know is it has to be professional and polite although it would feel good just to reply "F#ch you!" lol

When I am reading reviews I go straight for the worst rated responses.

It is often the negative reviews that can sway towards using or buying something.

Positive review can also sway me away.

When a person starts with the racism stuff, that shows they have no merit or actual valid point for what they are claiming. At this point, the conversation is over as far as I am concerned.

Leave it there.
This is pretty good

File a police report to document the encounter and keep a copy. Do not reply to the Google review as it may just set the guy off and cause him to return for more trouble. Talk to your employee and tell her how to respond and what to do should this individual ever return. If you do not have good security cameras that record sound and clear color images, get one. If the customer returns tell him he is not welcome in your business and to leave. Call the police and report the return of the customer and request a report and Restraining Order.

Let's not forget this is a fellow human being that is going through a tough time mentally.
If anything I'd like to help him rather than aggravate his life more than it is.

Ah, right. I didn't get to the last line. I don't think the guy would have known that the documents were read after he left.

I think businesses in most places can ask the police to remove someone if they won't leave, and if they get there, they can also file a trespass on the customer that basically is a documented case of "never come back to this business". I assume it's like a slightly more business specific version of a restraining order which I think is more "don't ever get near this other person".

That's super noble of you. Of course, if he doesn't want help, you can't force him to accept it. Just be careful.

I had the police on the phone until I saw him drive away. There is I'm sure a recorded record of the call.
