Cat Stevens was once an art student imagined a career as a cartoonist. He painted 4 of his album covers, and remade Tea for the Tillerman in 2020. I think his work is wonderful.

WRT to the painting in your post it looks like a cartoon to me. I'm sure the person the painted if got tremendous satisfaction but it doesn't convey a thing to me other than a dingy tied up on some water. But I see no point in still life paintings of fruit in a bowl so that's just me. |
