Correct!....https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BGH59LTD?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
Not sure why Amazon link isn't working....just search 'Model 5005 Blade Sharpener' on Amazon.

I've been using a grinding wheel or a flap disc....hard to get the correct angle with either.

I sharpen it with a Dremel and do not remove the blade

My mower deck has three blades and the only way to get at them is to remove the deck and turn it over. Once it's tipped over...just one bolt per blade to remove.

I had a Mo-Jack for a while that worked to put the whole tractor front in the air. That worked ok until the screw threads on the jack wore out. I didn't trust it...so I junked it.

Make sure you also have a balance cone to verify that you took off the same amount off of each side to keep it running smoothly.

Yes, I do. Have used it a few times...the blade was never out of balance. I used an arbor with a grinding wheel most of the time.

I already found something I need to replace....My 30? year old Makita corded 4.5" angle grinder. I went to screw in one of the guide pins and discovered the Makita doesn't have the second hole opposite the handle!

That's fine, I have most all of the Bauer battery tools....what's one more.
It'll be used outside for sharpening blades after I get the grinder.

Yep a sharpener for a lawnmower blade so you get the angle correct.

I picked up a 20v lithium Bauer angle grinder today because of the problem in post 9.

Temporarily used my workbench vise to clamp the sharpening tool. 60 grit flap wheel and started on an older blade. Worked great...was surprised at how much correction I had to make to get the blades down to the same 35 degree angle. Ended up with knife sharp edges.
The directions said the second sharpening will go much easier because the angle is already set.

Spent some time sharpening old blades that I've kept around. (3 sets)
Kinda fun, once the jig is set-up....just like peeling a veggie.
My JD has three of these 17" Gator Blades.
