I was starting to think the plug may have been pulled, for good...
|
It’s working o/k for me tonight
|
PP was gone
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1749173440.jpg But now it's back and fast. Woo Hoo! Thank the Sacred Pelican for eating the fast fish and speeding up the forums! |
|
I was pleasantly surprised to see PPOT pop-up quickly and no login required!
|
Another database error, but only for a short period and back again.
I'm happy with the results of whatever they did. |
Wow! It is really fast now.
|
Dang, the forum is lightning, lightning, lightning!!!

To whomever did the work. Good job.

It feels like they injected the forum with 100 shot of NOS!
|
WEEEEEEEEeeeeee our addiction connection has come through!!!
|
Thanks to the guru who fixed the error.
|
Thank you to "da guru" :)
I did notice the CAU count was off the scale again yesterday (even moreso) as it hit 12K users ... 3 times the "new normal" of the past 8 months ... now cut in half this morning. Cause or effect? If "I wasn't causing this (by design)" ... then "I" would want this to cease if I was still a guru... But I am not one of those ;) Thank you ... |
CAU is at 15K right now... still speedy tho' :)
|
Now 20K ....
|
Now 23K ... legit (by design) or just latent ... ready to ???.
Just pointing out the obvious .... if that CAU count even matters (what is it counting?) ... I dunno??? |
Now 7K ....
Oink, oink :D |
Now at 25K+ ... I hope this is a "guru" stress testing this site... or the "guru" needs to nip it. Or mebbe that count is just "a number" for display....
Site is super fast tho' .... and not dead yet. I will stop now..... hth. |
CAU count is way down now, but the site is now "effectively down" ... again.
At least it's Monday .... so yippee :) |
Interesting about the CAU count. I have been getting "database error" messages all morning (since ~7am central).
|
What a mess
|
The speed seems to have reverted a bit. It's not as slow as it was yesterday or the past few days, but it's not as fast as it was last night either.
|
Was OK last night, or late afternoon, now back to the minutes to load an individual topic. Get this message again, and again.
Database Error Database error The database has encountered a problem. Please try the following: Load the page again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser. Seems that it's back to speedy after some intermittent problems throughout the day.
|
I have no clue how AI works, but this site has got to be the most comprehensive stores of air cooled Porsche data, so I wonder if the AI bots are spending a lot of time here slowing it down for those of us who breathe and pee?

Then, I kept getting that database error. |
Monday around 2pm it will be back is my guess.
|
And when it's fast it's FAST.
|
It’s really hit or miss the last few days.
Would having to register to browse the forums help? |
The OT site is pretty fast this morning. Clicked on PARF and it's slooooooooow. Not a bad thing.

Hope that "invalid logon ID" limit reached ... permanent ban thingy is higher than the current CAU counts too ... I blame Steve for making me bigly stoopid :D |
It seems to be very fast now. Thanks to the maintenance staff and Pelican Parts for letting me access it. :)
Cheers, Guy. |
