This all started with my wife wanting a lightweight mower she could manage.

Mine never runs for more than 20. I only use it to remove fluffy snow from my truck and deck.

Not very good. My Ego 56V battery dies quick when used - 15 min tops, if that (I use it at highest output), died completely after a year, and replacement batteries are horrendously expensive - like same as I paid for the blower+battery initially. It feels like I'm buying ink for a printer at this point! Even an aftermarket Amazon one was pricey and is equally "meh"...

I have a bunch of them from Amazon, along with other power tools. The one good thing is they all use the same battery. So I have a ton of backup batteries all charged up and ready to go. Yhey are great for blowing leaves aroud and drying the nooks and crannies of my car!

So, here's the question...when blowing off your driveway, do you just blow out into the street, or do you pick up the leaves/debris?

(I'll likely get a rechargeable blower myself--pulling out the HUGE cord to do the back patios gets annoying).

I have a big Craftsman that I bought about 15+ years ago. It is a corded blower and is still going strong. I used to corral all the leaves, then switch the mode to mulcher. Dump the mulch in the back yard and I'm good to go.

I have the EGO blower and it works perfect for my needs. I also have the EGO weed eater, edger, and lawn mower. I like the fact that the batter works on all and they all use the same charger.

My only issue is that the lawn mower battery was defective out of the box and I haven't been able to return it because I can't find my receipt. I've been using the other tool's batteries which works but the lawn mower needs more juice and sometimes I have to swap batteries mid-mow.

I have an unusual situation...my street has a city owned median in the middle of the street and they mow and blow every monday. So, I do my blowing on Sunday and blow everything to the median - the city picks it all up. I don't have a lot of blowing debris; just lawn edging and any debris that is in the gutter.

I'd like to get a battery powered blower, but I've got two 40+ year old, corded blowers that don't seem to want to die. I don't feel I can justify buying a new one and suppose I'll be using these forever. One is a Toro blower that putsout hurricane force winds.

In Castaic I would blow into the street, and then sweep up the big leaves. Then there was a sewer grate that I could blow the little debris into.

Now that I’m in Arizona there doesn’t seem to be too many leaves falling off of trees. In fact, there ain’t a whole heck of a lot of trees in my yard. Just rocks and small bushes.

Welcome to AZ, Craigster. Hope you enjoy our fine desert landscaping

I live much further south than you do and in much more temperate weather...we have trees.

Was curious what people do as I watch those in my neighborhood take care of their yards (or not)...and it's a hodge podge. I generally blow (or just sweep) back TOWARD the house and then scoop up the pile when I get everything in a corner.
