Need a battery gas transfer pump...
 

One that will work (best) on draining a Carrera fuel tank... i.e. flexible hose.

I have a manual pump, but want one and will also use it for other gas transfers from a can to mowers, etc.

I just disconnected the fuel pump hose and use free gravity to drain my tank when I replaced the tunnel gas lines. I gathered all my fuel tanks used for lawn equipment, and filled them all. When I started running out room in those, I poured the gas into my El Camino tank.

Just pull the tank drain in the bottom... whoosh! out it all goes. Word of warning! Wear clothing you don't mind throwing away when you're done. And have a large enough container to catch was comes blasting out. Come to think of it, maybe the battery pump is a better way to go.

Manual pump seems like a good option.
Electric pump seems like a sketchy option unless it's high quality. No sparky Chinese stuff pumping gasoline or jet fuel for me.

I feel like we had a thread a while back about gas cans for filling mowers and such that contained talk about pumps so you didn't have to manhandle the 5 gallon cans. I think I remember Turtle-Steve talking about a pump maybe.

.... I either drain (what I think is just a few gals) via above or she gets a ride ... to a lift or something :D

I'll use my dinky one ... might go get a gas line/bulb off a boat down at the marina if that doesn't work.

Can a flexible tube get into the tank vial the filler ... or ???

There will be no "whooshing" .... I hope!

I use a 'shaker siphon hose' to fill my boat from cans. Works surprisingly well.

The more I think about it...the battery powered one that I use (from the above link) probably wouldn't work. The intake end is rigid plastic...would not go thru the gas intake of the car.
But it sure works nice for filling my JD....I never lift a 6 gal jug anymore to fill it.:)

Recently went through this and used the linked unit from Hobo Freight - just pull the fuel sending unit on top of the tank and drain. Easy peasy.

I use them for my motorcycles mostly but also for gas cans, etc.

Here I'm moving Evapo-Rust from a 5 gal. pail to individual gallon containers for ease of usage.

Baz has the right pump, available at Harbor Freight. Extremely convenient, I have used it to drain my 930 of stale gas after removing fuel level sender at top of tank. From the sender opening you can insert pump suction stem and drain 99.5% out into container of your choice. Get a new cork seal for the sender too.

I’ve used a low psi 12v fuel pump with rubber hoses to clean out old fuel tanks. Some common sense and long leads to keep it safe.

Just pull the fuel sending unit out of the tank. It's in the frunk. Makes it really easy to siphon the gas out. OOPS! Looks like Mark has ya covered.
